• Today’s win extends Miami’s winning streak to six games – the team’s longest winning streak since the 2005 season – and marks just the second time a coach other than Don Shula led the Dolphins to six straight regular season wins. Shula did so 11 times and Nick Saban did it once.

• Miami improved to 7-4 today. It is the Dolphins’ best record after 11 games since 2003, when they were also 7-4 and finished the season 10-6.

• The Dolphins have won four straight home games in the same season for the first time since 2002. The last time the team won four consecutive home games total was the final two home games of the 2005 season and the first two home games of the 2006 season.

• Miami has now won five of their six home games this season. The last time the Dolphins won at least five home games was in 2012, when they went 5-3 at home. It’s just the third time in the last 10 years that the Dolphins have won five or more home games in a season (also 2008).

• This is Miami’s seventh win of the season, eclipsing last season’s total of six.

• QB Ryan Tannehill played one of the finest games of his career today, completing 20-of-30 passes (66.7 pct.) for 285 yards, three touchdowns and no turnovers, good for a 130.6 quarterback rating. It was just the fourth time in his career that he has thrown for at least three touchdowns without a turnover. The 130.6 quarterback rating is tied for the second best rating of his career, tying his mark from the Week 10 game at San Diego this season. In two of Tannehill’s past three games he has posted two of the three highest quarterback ratings of his career.

• During Miami’s six-game winning streak, QB Ryan Tannehill has completed 117-of-173 passes (67.6 pct.) for 1,302 yards, nine touchdowns and one interception, posting a 104.7 quarterback rating.

• QB Ryan Tannehill hit TE Dion Sims for a 16-yard score with 2:17 left in the second quarter, giving Miami a 14-7 lead. The touchdown pass was the 100th of Tannehill’s career. Tannehill joins Hall of Famer quarterbacks Dan Marino (420) and Bob Griese (192) as the only Dolphins to throw for 100-plus touchdown passes.

• QB Ryan Tannehill threw his third touchdown pass of the game to WR Leonte Carroo on a 15-yard completion. It was the 10th game of Tannehill’s career and his second of the season with three or more touchdown passes, which is third most in team history behind Dan Marino (62) and Bob Griese (15). For Carroo, it was the first touchdown of his career.

• RB Jay Ajayi put the Dolphins on the board with a 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to tie the game 7-7. For Ajayi, it was his seventh rushing touchdown of the season, which is tied for seventh in the NFL entering today’s games.

• WR DeVante Parker made an outstanding grab on a 46-yard pass down the middle of the field by QB Ryan Tannehill. The reception pushed Parker over the 1,000-yard receiving mark for his career. Parker now has 67 career receptions for 1,043 yards.

• In the past three games, WR DeVante Parker has 16 receptions for 246 yards (15.4 avg.) and one touchdown.

• WR Kenny Stills hauled in a 43-yard touchdown from QB Ryan Tannehill in the third quarter, extending the Dolphins’ lead to 24-14. It was Stills’ third touchdown of at least 40 yards this season as he caught a 74-yard touchdown at Cincinnati and a 66-yard score vs. Buffalo. He also had a 39-yard touchdown reception at San Diego.

• LB Kiko Alonso became the first Dolphins linebacker since at least 1993 to recover a fumble and intercept a pass in the same game. He’s also the only NFL linebacker to do that this season. The last NFL linebacker to intercept a pass and recover a fumble in the same game was Cleveland’s Craig Robertson on Jan. 3, 2016.

• LB Kiko Alonso recovered a fumble by 49ers TE Brent Celek midway through the second quarter. For Alonso, it was his fourth fumble recovery of the season, tying for the third-most in a single season in team history and the most since DE Jason Taylor had four in 2001. The team record is five fumble recoveries by Dick Anderson (1972) and Bud Brown (1985).

• The fumble that Alonso recovered was forced by CB Byron Maxwell and the third forced fumble this season by Maxwell. Entering today’s games, three forced fumbles is tied for fifth in the league.

• Dolphins LB Kiko Alonso recorded his second interception of the 2016 season against the 49ers. The last Dolphins linebacker to record multiple interceptions in a season was Dannell Ellerbe who recorded two interceptions in 2013.

• LB Kiko Alonso led the team with 12 total tackles (four solo) today, including an assisted tackle on the game’s final play, stopping 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick 2 yards shy of the goal line. Alonso now has 91 total tackles (53 solo) this season, which ranks No. 3 in the AFC entering today’s games.

• When DE Cameron Wake brought down 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick for a 9-yard loss in the third quarter, it brought Wake up to 7.5 sacks since Miami’s winning streak began in Week 6. Wake now has 8.5 sacks on the season, a mark that was eighth in the NFL at the start of today’s games.
