Dolphins running game vs. Chargers run defense
The Dolphins gained an impressive 239 yards on the ground in Monday night's 27-23 loss to the Colts, and a lot of that was sparked by the 107 yards gained on 12 Wildcat plays. San Diego's defense is allowing 139 rushing yards per game, and is playing with an injury-depleted front line, which is missing Pro Bowl nose tackle Jamal Williams. If the Dolphins win the battle at the line of scrimmage they will win the time of possession battle, which is a weekly goal for this ball control offense.
EDGE: DOLPHINS

Chargers passing game vs. Dolphins pass defense
Philip Rivers, who is completing 60.5 percent of his passes and averaging 8.49 yards per attempt, is annually one of the NFL's most efficient quarterbacks. He passed for a career-high 436 yards in last week's 31-26 loss to the Ravens. Part of his success can be attributed to his deep stable of weapons, which features a blossoming Vincent Jackson, who is averaging 17.9 yards per catch. Tight end Antonio Gates is also a factor, and the Dolphins have struggled defending that position so far this season.
EDGE: CHARGERS

so... in other words, if our offense has a repeat of last week and if our defense can at least play 'average' we have a shot.

Dolphins need this game.. they better pull it off, if they dont atleast there that much closer to Sam BRadford!!!!!

Dolphins should win. The D just needs to play like they should and the offence can do the rest if they play like last week.

i thought rivers was completing more than an average 60% of his passes.. That helps our secondary... However, I didnt know Jackson was averaging 18 yards a catch.. Thats gotta be a league leader among starters..that could tear us up

The Chargers have more game breakers than the Falcons or Colts.

Going into the season, I had this as our most difficult game before the bye.
