*** Dolphins vs Jags Post Game Chat ***

Two times Miami had Jacksonville pinned inside the five yard line and two times they drove the length of the field. Your thinking is outdated. The game is all about offense and analytics in this era. Good coaches have figured it out. It’s all about scoring and trying to put as many points on the board as possible and never letting up on offense.
The Dolphins ended up putting more points on the board than the Jags. In the end, that is all that matters.

Yes, it wasn’t pretty and the Dolphins certainly still have work to do but it was the first game of the season and the lack of playing time in the preseason by the veterans clearly affected the timing and cohesion on both sides of the ball.

Just imagine being a Bengals fan today and losing to a Patriots team that was thought to be one of the worst teams in the league going into the season. So all Dolphin fans should enjoy the win today, even though it wasn’t perfect.

Agreed. Part of why I’m remotely optimistic right now is because they have a talented bunch.

They appear to have hit a home run with Brian Thomas Jr now.
Bigger, taller, and faster WR’s are still a thing. Dolphins could use one of those to offset the mighty mites.

Walker and Allen are a nightmare.
There is a lot of talent on that offense, what excites me most is how our defense shut them down in the second half!

People look for information to confirm their narrative and its more convenient to them to imagine the Jaguars were just a bad team last year rather than one that was good until their QB had what should have been a season-ender and they kept throwing him out there. Just like its convenient to say the Dolphins can't win in the playoffs when we entered one year with Skylar Thompson at QB and another with most of our defense on the shelf.

Right. They were literally right there in the standings fighting for the #1 seed with us, Baltimore, and KC when Lawrence went down. Think they were 8-3 at that point.

A win is a win!

Not playing starters in the preseason is a double edged sword. I'll take a mostly healthy team to start the year but this is the cost you get for the first week or two.

Proud of the team for sticking through a tough game. The Dolphins easilly left many, many points on the field today and I like our future once we iron out some wrinkles.

Jags were a very interesting Dr. Jeckle / Mr Hyde squad today. At times they bullied us on both sides of the ball and other times just fell apart. Much like us, I think it's best we played them early before they jell and think both teams on the field today will see success this year. Not sold on Lawrence, he made some pretty throws today but usually when our coverage was yards away from his guys. He seemed to wilt in the 4th. The rest of their team looks solid though and will be fun to watch agasint Houston. Quality victory.

Joe Burrow 0 TDs vs a team Tua has never lost to. Are bengals fans panicking? Is they sky falling in Ohio?

Watching 5 games at once, I saw Burr-oh throw a TD to Mike Gesicki of all people. But it must have been nullified by penalty and I didn’t notice.
