Budding guitarist extraordinaire, Orianthi Panagaris, will be the featured act at the Land Shark Tailgate Stage on the AT&T Grand Plaza, Sunday, January 3, prior to the Dolphins-Steelers game, with a live performance starting at 12 p.m.
If you haven't heard of her, you've probably seen her in the clips of Michael Jackson's "This is It" and the soundcheck for "They Don't Care About Us" (she's the blonde lead guitarist). She can really shred and at 24 years old, she has a maturity to her playing that is rarely seen by players her age. She has won the praise of guitar legends Steve Vai and Carlos Santana, who said he would like to "hand the baton to her".
