Sunday’s game was the No. 1-rated program in the local market for the week-ending September 11 (18.3 rating, 36 share). Premium seat sales and sponsorship revenues are up approximately 10% from last season’s levels. Training camp attendance more than doubled from a year ago, and on-line merchandise sales show a 75% increase from last year’s figures. Viewership of Coach Saban’s press conference yesterday on the team’s website represented a 300% increase over the corresponding opening game press conference of 2004. In addition, the team sold 53,422 season tickets for 2005, which is the 16th best total in the club’s 40-year history
I don't like how the Dolphins are trying to spin this. I love my Fish and I don't think they need to do stuff like this. It's almost like they are running for president
1. Season tickets are down 5,000 from last year
2. Of course on-line sales are up. Every year more and more of us are using the net
3. Last year we lost our first game, this year we blow out Denver so of course more people want to see the press conference
I like everything else but I don't see the need to gloat of some of those items
