Main point - cheaper for them

So in some ways we are following the path taken by other teams that produce in-house digital content. Not really surprising since it will cost the team less and they will be able to have more control over the content, but I'm looking forward to seeing if this turns out to be better than FinSiders. They were always going to replace FinSiders with something, so let's see how this new content turns out.

"More control over the content"................., BINGO!!!!

This is all about Mike Tannenbum and what Mike Tanbenbum wants us to see and hear.

THERE WILL BE NO DISORGANIZATION AND NO MORE DECENT ON THE MIAMI DOLPHINS, YOU CAN BET ON THAT. THOSE DAYS ARE GONE. IT ALL STOPS NOW!!!

(by order of sherif "gm" greir)

And obviously, it will be enforced.

I asked this this yesterday when blame for Finsiders getting shut down was laid on Tannenbaum. Does a radio show, or now digital content, fall under the authority of football operations? I was not given a definitive answer. If it does fall under his authority I'd like to see proof. To be honest I think Tennebaum is catching the blame for every unpopular decision the team makes regardless if he has the authority or not.

Could be.

But, strange timing for a guy who has a loooong reputation for getting rid of ANYTHING or ANYONE he feels is in his way or taking up his spot light. I told every one he would get rid of hickey and to watch for things coming from the dolphins discrediting hickey. And what do you know, those very things happened. And that bit with greir and his "everyone knows all the decent and no one on the same page, not getting along thats been going on here" etc.... . Never heard one thing while hickey was here about not being able to get along and hard to get along with and sulking when he didnt get his way like the hatchet piece they put out said. Hickey had the reputation of just the oposite, that he was a team player and got along well with people.

So, is the sudden, unexpected closeur of a very popular dolphins show being axed land on tannenbaum? Maybe not. But, if i were betting money...........

To answer your question, he has absolutely Nothing to do with this and you are 100% accurate that Tannenbaum has become the fan's fall guy, because well lets face it, after 25 years of virtual irrelevance, Dolfans have become pissy and a former Jet GM who was under tenure for two AFC championship games in the last 7 years with a QB that many love to hate, has become a convenient outlet.

Tom Garfinkel has been the face of the stadium renovation and anything pertaining to how Miami is marketed and how they relay information to the masses. He is Mike Tannenbaum's superior. He doesn't mess with Football Operations but he essentially "runs" the organization on all other levels.

I will agree there is a chance. But again, just because something negative happens with the team doesn't always mean it is Tennebaum's doing. People are jumping at shadows around here just because they don't like the guy. I get the guy sucks, I am not happy about him being part of the team either, but that doesn't mean I should blame him for all the wrong doings of the team. Ultimately the real person responsible for this team is Ross. So if anyone wants point blame why not start at the top?

They were always going to have to do something

My beef was, and I asked about it, was they were being very vague about things, which I believe was totally unnecessary. Why not talk about where the whole fan experience is going when they announced the end of Finsiders instead of getting a lot of fans worked up? The thought of only have Big O, and the like to listen to is hardly a palatable option for anyone except the most pessimistic of fans. Add this to the weird off-season Tannenbaum and Greer are having on the football side of things and it gives the impression that they are unorganized and don't really have a GOOD plan for anything.

This was all about paying the radio station for broadcasting rights,

not having to pay the station. :)

There was never a question about their media stuff going away.

As for complete control and t-bombed that's just crazy talk. :chuckle:

But that crazy talk is so much more interesting than hearing the RT fans going on and on about what a great QB he really is :rolleyes2:

I would tend to agree its more about Tom G. I mean I guess we wont know for sure but he also led the announcements about it etc. These tweets were from him.

Thank you fans (in and out of town) for your feedback. I read them all and understand that you want access and more content.

Exciting news tomorrow - we will deliver new content to our fans including more behind the scenes access, stories, and interaction w you.
