Dolphins will definitely have to trade up to #2 now for RGIII if they want him

Putting it plain and simple we don't have the ammo to jump to the #2 spot. It would easily take AT LEAST this years 1st and 2nd in addition to next years 1st. Again that is the minimum, they may still want more. We are in the middle of rebuilding this team, there is no way we trade all those picks away.

But besides that, I don't think the Rams want to trade down all the way to the number 8 spot anyway. It doesn't make sense for them. They would miss out on 2 big time key "franchise" players who I guarantee they want (Blackmon and Kalil). They have invested allot into Sam Bradford and they need to invest in helping him out. By moving down 8 spots there would be no chance of grabbing either Blackmon or Kalil. If they trade down to a team like the Browns, they would have the opportunity to still get 1 of the 2 guys they want (most likely Blackmon) in addition to some extra picks.

There is no way the Rams trade down to the #8 spot. And if they do I will gladly, and happily eat crow. I would love to get a guy like RG3. I just don't think the Rams are dumb enough to miss out on an opportunity to grab a franchise T or WR AND some extra picks, to help out there "franchise" QB.

Just my $0.02...

they would only be moving down 6 spots >?

I really hope im wrong, but i think this RGIII thing is not a good thing. But im of the mindset of never draft a QB high. I would rather take a a line guy or a db.

We aren't rebuilding according to Ireland... Just building. And also, if we WERE rebuilding, wouldn't a franchise QB be the most important pieace?

2 1sts and a 2nd is NOTHING for a franchise QB. Stop being SCARED!

Regardless of that if you continued to read my main point was that i don't think the Rams are willing to switch into the 8th spot. Because of the opportunity to get a key player they need as well.

Thats why we would need to sweeten the deal. The Redskins and Browns might not be willing to give up a 1st next year to move up.

I agree that the rams will not want to move down all the way to 8.....unless the deal is too good to pass and that'd mean for us to give up 2 #one's plus at least a 2 and maybe more.....I'm not so sure with the holes we have on both saides of the ball that we should go in that direction.

Ozzy rules!!

Sign Manning OR draft RGIII, not both. We have too many other holes to invest most of our free agent money AND our highest draft pick on the same position IMO.
I agree with that, if Manning gets signed then likely we draft a QB next year. I dont think Peyton will want to go to a team that only has plans for him for one year, then start a second year player. He would probably want 3 years, just a guess, 2 years for sure to play, then maybe a last hoorah year before the new QB comes in.

This is a terrible idea. Two 1sts and a 2nd is admittedly not much for a franchise QB. It's a hell of a lot for someone you hope becomes a franchise QB though. We have more than enough areas where we could improve with those picks.

Sing Manning and draft RGIII.....hello to being a serious threat for years to come. Would be the best years to be a Phin fan since Dan retired.

nah, RG3 will be ready sooner than say a tannehill because of his skill set, brains, and talent. So why would you have RG3 sit on the bench for two years possibly?

I would do Manning Tannehill. makes more sense from a team standpoint and Tannehill can learn from the best. RG3 is different.

I dont care how tall it says he is ...He does not play that tall at all...He throws the ball sorta side arm at time..Thats going to have to be corrected..I dont draft a qb at the #2 spot and mess with his mechanics..I would pass.
i dissagree. i dont see it. but i think your confusing it bc the way he flicks his wrist, which gives it a greater velocity. the guy is legit. there isnt anybody else this draft that is more dangerous with the ball. there are many other qbs that have worse mechanics.

miami trades the house and then some for andrew luck. the colts sign matt flynn. browns get rg3. washington drafts tannehill. seattle signs chad henne/kyleorton/campbell
