Dolphins win AFC East draft bracket according to Mel

It was between us and the Jets who won the AFC East.

He thought we filled our needs and took care of our QB. Liked the Landry pick a lot along with Matt Hazel saying something along the lines of "Matt Hazel is someone to look out for". Said Landry was the hardest working player LSU has seen in a long time. Said James will start right away and Billy Turner was underrated.

I like Mel Kiper. He does a really good job of identifying the strengths and weaknesses of every player, especially the small school guys. BUT, he is poor at projecting guys from college to the pros.

He does his research well, but his talent evaluation skill is subpar IMHO.

While I like to hear that he thinks positively of our draft, I don't really put any confidence into his projections.

Like us, he is the ultimate enthusiast but not employed by a team to make the evaluation or selection. Unlike us, he gets paid to voice his opinion.

I like him mostly because he helped take one of my hobbies, the NFL draft, and turn it into a major media event with easy access to coverage, analysis and fan access. For that, thank you very much Mel.
