Dolphins Win

I dont know why this poster makes me mad. He is trying to say you have to give Henne credit because we won.

For all the haters out there that want to bash I just want to point out that the Miami Dolphins TEAM beat the Atlanta Falcons tonight. You can say what you want, but a football team isn't just one guy, and the Dolphins team managed to come back from 17 down and pull out a victory tonight. To me this means more than a bad performance by Chad Henne.

Yea its huge. Nevermind the guy we are currently planning to run out there at QB in games that count looked terrible. Maybe we can petition the league to play all of our games with backup players only for both us and the competition.

Matt Ryan's only touchdown pass came against the second team defense. Just saying......

Come on.. And Henne's TD pass to Hartline had so much velocity on it I thought it was going to be an overthrow until it started to come down. Hartline was WIDE open, there was no need to throw it up that high. But im not bashing.. Thank god he went deep and hit the receiver.

I did think Matt Moore played well, but again, first preseason game and he
was going up against backups. Though I wouldn't mind seeing what he can do
against a first team offense sometime during the preseason

NUBLAR7:

you do realize that matt moore is not an unproven rookie, right? there is LOTS of game film on him against big time starters and teams. in fact, there is a matt moore highlight thread on this forum right now from his exellent 2009 year with the panthers.
2010, half the team was injured and out, including his top wr, then he got injured and 2010 was a wash. the team was bad and it cost fox his job. new staff comes in, lots of the previous regimes players go out. standard fare.

all i see right now is moore showing that he is the 2009 qb and the 2010 injury/crappy panther season was a fluke. from the things i saw, all just doing what he does, makes plays under pressure, throws a great ball and knows how to hit the open man.

there splenty to see. now, will sparano give him a real chance to take the job from his cabin boy chad? i dont think so. i think they will rinky dink him, dial down plays to keep him from showing up henne and setting off a qb controversy. but there is plenty on him to see. he can play with the big boys!!

Had the same convo with my wife (who can hang in a football convo with the best of us) and my anser was also no.

Watching the game I recorded today off NFL Network, so I can't comment.

A win is a win, and wins like losing can be contagious...

I saw a few things that were encouraging. 3 touchdown passes. Aggression with down field routes. Jimmy Wilson is a baller. Clyde will be very dangerous. No field goals.....but the rest was a mess

I recorded the game and I am watching it now. Gates, Livas, Moore and Wallace all look pretty solid. I am pretty happy with our receivers. And seeing Hartline go deep was very encouraging. The coaches will have some tough decisions to make at wr.

Tell that to the Detroit Lions. The year they were 0-16, they won all 4 of their preseason games. You say a win is a win but you do know that they dont count right? So really it does not matter if you win or lose. But what does matter is when your starters look like they swapped places with a high school team. Its nice that the backups played well but they wont be on the field much when the regular season starts.

I try to be as optimistic as anyone, but the fact remains that most of the guys on the field during Miami's comeback won't be on NFL rosters when the regular season starts. Unfortunately for us, the guys who fell down 17-0 in the first quarter will.

While a win is great, you have to compare apples with apples. With the way the first quarter was going it could be easily said the first team offense and defense were not up to snuff and the score would have reflected that.
