Dolphins work out S Matt Daniels

We've got one spot on the PS open I think. Only other reason I can see us signing a safety is because of the hit on Jimmy Wilson.

All safeties. Wonder if Jimmy's OK. Haven't heard about a concussion and he was at practice today.

Brent Grimes, Cam Wake, Wes Welker, James Harrison, Rob Ninkovich, Mike Thomas, etc were all considered as another team's undrafted trash at some point. Even Super Bowl winning likely HOF prospect Kurt Warner was found in an Amsterdam trashcan. There is absolutely no harm in checking out the players discarded by other teams. It is not an act of desperation. Occasional gems are found.
 
Alden Darby is not trash, imo. He's small, but he was a very big part of Arizona State's defense. I'm glad to see Coyle running the rule over him. Darby isnt' lightning fast, but he has the instincts and the decisiveness to trust thos instincts. That's worth a lot of sacrifices on measurables, imo.
