Here is a surprise Lesean Mccoy had a workout with the Fins on pro day. According to Drew Rosenhaus his agent the Fins were looking at him at this weekend and Drew say he thinks they were just doing their due degligence, but he would not be surprised if Miami would eventually be interested in replacing Ricky who is up in age.

I'd be flabbergasted....if the Dolphins selected ANY running back with the top three picks.

love the idea of getting a RB early... Put him and ronnie together in the backfield and there no stopping us.

I wish though that there was a speed back like felix jones or a chris johnson avaliable to complement ronnie style better.

He is more of a Brian Westbrook type, so he would complement Ronnie perfect.

This is a smart move. Between Wells, Moreno, McCoy and Rashad Jennings I don't think personally there's a whole lot of difference between their pro prospects. Wells maybe I would put above the rest. McCoy is falling down the boards some, as runners always do, and he's falling so far that Miami should really take a look at the kid.

Not only is Ricky up there in age, but both he and Ronnie are free agents in 2010. We could keep Ronnie with the franchise tag, but that would likely be for just one more year (they won't sign a 30 year old RB with six seasons under his belt to a big money deal, it just won't happen). We're going to need a RB to take half-share in 2010 and possibly full-share in 2011...and if a guy with LeSean McCoy's talent falls too far I think you take a heavy look at him.

i was thinking about this yesterday, with runners falling the possibility of one of the big 3 Moreno, Wells or McCoy being there in the 2nd is rising. that in turn pushes runners to the 3rd and 4th. which is the more likely spot we would select a runner if we are going to target one IMO.

Donald Brown, Andre Brown, Rashad Jennings, Shannon Greene, Javon Ringer, Glen Coffee and James Davis(who i rate higher then a lot of people) are all RBs that we could have high grades on, and the possibility that one of them will be there in the 3rd or 4th we really like...

Shonne Greene from Iowa I think had the most impressive season....I think every game with at least 100yd rushing, not much talent around him as it was. Runs with good balance and a good pad level. I'd rather him in the mid to later rounds than McCoy in the first or second round.
