Dolphins Workout WR Braylon Edwards

Chad has always been a team guy. Honestly, it's dishonest to put Chad in the same light as Brandon Marshall. Marshall has a history of badmouthing absolutely everyone in his wake.

Not to mention him ripping on Henne on the radio show last year. Give me a break. When will the Marshall apologists stop ignoring the blatant signs? The guy was run out of Denver, he was run out of Miami and yet HE'S the not so bad team player?
at this point, you should know that your efforts will be fruitless. Everyone knows marshall was a perfect gentlemen... a top 1 reciever, and miami will forever regret the day they traded brandon "model citizen" marshall to the bears. After all marshall is a sure fire first ballot hall of famer and will eclipse everything jerry rice ever did, and starting this year will cause the bears to win an unprecedented 3 ... I mean 4! super bowls in a row. yep. How dare you compare marshall to the diva... nay... team and off the field cancer that chad formerly ocho cinco is.

So, it seems that the Hard Knocks producer let it slip that Edwards was in for a workout and the team was not happy about that. They have gotten assurances that something like that won't happen again. Interesting.

Its not that I'm in love with Marshall, but I am in love with having an elite WR on the field. Which is what he is, and Ocho is not. I've said off field problems are no interest, esp when nothing becomes of them suspension wise, or otheres...but how would that helpn your arguement on what a bad guy he is...LOL. The comment he made "bashing" our WR coaches was one of truth...he did not grow as a player here.

No team player I know of proclaims himself as a a future HOF, nor does a team player continually make a spectacle of himself to the media as he does.

but lets hear T.J. Houshmandzadeh...he told ESPN that it would be best for the Bengals to trade Johnson. "I think eventually he'll show up, but then you have to worry about how much of a distraction he'll be," That was when he was WITH the team. complaining once again....after his little spat with QB Palmer.

Also we have the rumor that more teammates from past are claiming true, how he threw a punch at old coach Marvin during halftime at their playoff game....google must be broken for you with that though....I've seen in the past how you brought up towel boys in Dolphion lockerrooms, but hey...whatever. Heresay works only in one direction with your arguements. Chads a team guy....he twitters all about how much he is.

Not to mention the holdout, and calling out the FO about his contract, which you admitted too before....but this is all irrelevant, because its obvious to anyone paying attention, that we are in trouble at the WR position. Bottom line....we wouldnt be with the headcase off the field BM.

We should have replaced a #1 wr...thats all.....your sarcasm is wonderfully entertaining....but lets wee what other washed up loser we bring to try and replace the stabbing victim.

I'm fairly certain that at least we won't have to worry about chad johnson injuring his knuckles by having some random or even his wife bashing her face against them.

Off feild issues....esp ones that are made up by someone in a club...I do not give any validity to.

Where are the charges for thye nightclub incident? non existent? oh ok...lets continue to bash because BM is an easy target.

Meanwhile....who else we bringing in to try and take some yardage he used to get? oh ok....lets wait for another stabbing response with no substance on how to fix our WR core.

...and we're all just a bunch of mindless homers if we think otherwise???

Links to any real substance to BM being an issue with his QB, or garbage talked about coaching staff..... Besides his one liner during the Pro Bowl.

I know I can come up with garbage Chad has done....but he became a team guy when he came to Miami magically....LOL

IMO...Philbin has to do offseason over again, he keeps Marshall.

If you look back at his tenure in Miami there were reports of him drawing up plays with Thigpen during games and not following the program when things did not go his way. Don't have the links, but these things happened and were reported, search it out......He bad mouthed Henne and Moore, and took a shot at the orgaization insinuating that the QBs are terrible.....which to an extent is true, but the fact is Marshall goes out of his way to be an a$$hole....Oh and lets not forget the 6-7 dropped passes in the endzone that would've been made if he was elite....and maybe turned last season around?? great player, with loads of potential but no focus......I'm not a fan of the inexperience in the reciever core, and I'd be all for Wallace, but the Marshall trade made sense....Philbin is not going to put up with headaches, especially ones that don't produce where they are capable of, talk $hit about team mates, dont follow game plans, and let the team down in key situations

Are you truly trying to tell me that Brandon Marshall's incidents are not a big distraction and cause of tension for the locker room? Are you genuinely trying to say that they were overblown by the media?

I'm not calling you a homer, I'm calling you blind as a bat.

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/...andon-marshall-rasheedah-watley-press-charges

You're right. Poor BM. He's in the wrong place at the wrong time all the time.

Also we have the rumor that more teammates from past are claiming true, how he threw a punch at old coach Marvin during halftime at their playoff game....google must be broken for you with that though....I've seen in the past how you brought up towel boys in Dolphion lockerrooms, but hey...whatever. Heresay works only in one direction with your arguments. Chads a team guy....he twitters all about how much he is.

First, explain this "towel boys in the lockerrooms" comment, because I'm confused. What are you talking about? I've never claimed to know "towel boys in the Dolphins lockerroom" so, save yourself some trouble and stop making up things.

Second, I don't rely on Chad's tweets to realize he's a great team player. I look at the tweets and reports of others. Look at the tweets from yesterdays practice alone. He was staying after practice to do work with young DBs and WRs, mostly foot work and routes. How many times did we have Brandon Marshall doing that?

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Chad @ochocinco worked after practice with Sean Smith and Jonathan Wade on technique stuff.

One of the easiest (ie LAZY) ways of arguing is to immediately accuse your opposing party of something and shift the burden of proof. I learned this within the 1st week of law school and it's incredible how people try to use it in every day discussion. So you shifted the burden on me, asked for links. Links I provided. What did you do?

1) Dismissed the links
2) Claim I was being biased (Which, I was... you asked me for links to Brandon Marshall's incidents, nothing about Chad Johnson. Maybe do your own homework?)
3) Then tell me an absolute hearsay story that has ZERO proof on the internet. Go ahead. Show it to me.

So while you sit there unwilling to budge about your opinion (which is fine, it's just that, your opinion. I have mine, you have yours. How we interpret that information is what makes us different as human beings) you are going to now not only question my intentions but then make up bold faced lies about some sort of inside information I've claimed to have.

Just for reference in case other people I discuss things with want to sit and make up silly facts, I have information from one of several things:
1. Being good friends with an NFL player who started multiple seasons with multiple different teams. (highschool)
2. A friend who works for NFL Network (direct assistant to a high up, actually) (college)
3. Casual acquaintances while working for a D1 college team in Florida.

That's it. No hidden towel boys. No "super secret sources". Not once have I used them to prove anything in regards to Chad Johnson or Brandon Marshall. I post all my links with an explanation every single time. Yet, I find that those who are so quick to go "lol yeah but you're just a homer for Chad Johnson" while having incredibly low self awareness of their own actions... post nothing. Just like you. Just like your argument. Nothing. So please, do me a favor, put some actual effort into your posts. It'll show not only some pride in your argument but actual substance. I want to see some links. Some evidence. Not these blatant exaggerations ("ANOTHER run in with his QB" in reference to Chad, when there was only one as a result of Carson talking about Chad Johnson and his contract situation. Not exactly team cancer stuff)

Misinformation is something that exists today. I deal with it on a semi daily basis. Having to inform people that have opinions set in stone based on misinterpretation is something I seem to gravitate towards, which is why I'm so willing to type of huge paragraphs on a Dolphins board. I know you've got the thought process up there to do it, so why not?

I think it tells us they are reviewing their options with Hartline out. I'm not sure why they don't cut Nanee and sign Edwards....I think there is better value there...

Why would you cut a receiver that's having a great camp, not a locker room cancer, and not demanding big money$$$ :ponder:

Oh yeah, also a coach's favorite as well..

I think it is safe to say Marshall is very good, but not elite....Elite players make the plays that Marshall had the opportunity to make last year, even with our crappy QBs

So BMs incidents....problem....Chads...no problem? you sound very non biased....LOL

how am I a homer? Im a Dolphin fan, pissed they got rid of our first no doubt 1000 yard WR....Im not a Marshall fan, Im a Dolphin fan and BM > Chad right now. You are obviously the blind homer....Hysterical Kettle.......And again....if they replaced Marshall....we aren't even discussing this now.

Fair enough....was looking at historical production.....Based on their history I would wager Edwards would be the better player....who knows though....Naanee may flourish in this O....maybe Edwards has lost a step as well.....

also... I'm pretty sure he bashed the hell out of the coaches saying that they didn't use him properly. Still, people will defend him. lol

Every and any WR will be flourishing in this offense from what I hear here. Can't wait to see the magic.....I should have been a walk on this year.

LOL....OK.....not sure where you're going there.....I guess BM was like Larry Fitz or Andre Johnson for us the 2 seasons he was here......Obviously you really don't pay attention.....sounds like you don't watch games or even read about the team.....BM was a huge disappointment....prob be best for ya if you get over this and move on....
