So far this year our team has battled for four quarters each game. We've been mentally tough and have been able to overcome our mistakes. So I'd like to propose that our team's battle cry is "Bahala Na"!! Stay with me on this.
I belong to a Philipino martial arts club. Our instructor is an old World War 2 vet. He was the point man in a three man assassin team and is a MOH award winner. He was part of many battles and they've been documented in a book called "The memories Ride the Eb of Tide" Thier main weapon was a 24" sword called a Bolo. Our training system is called Escrima and our club name is Bahala Na. "Bahala Na" was our instructors battle cry when they would go off into war, translated means "Come what may" or "Bring it on." Very cool, yet a very sacred meaning to our leader. This in many ways reminds me, no matter what happens from here on out, of our Dolphins.
My instructor has passed and for me he is a very important part of my life as is the Dolphins. This may be a little too deap, but I'd thought that it could be, at least for me, somewhat of a tribute to my intrustor.
For what it's worth!
