WOW

I am very surprised over the last 2 preseason games, this defense looks much better than I thought.

Held Larry Johnon to 13 carries for 36 yards
KC passed for 131 yds
3 interceptions J Allen/R Hill/ M Lehan
FF Crowder

I know KC isnt a great team but I'm impressed.

Dominant . . . nah, KC had some drops and lets face it, their QB play was not good at all. We gotta get pressure for 60 minutes . . . but the run defense is spectacular and the secondary is solid . . . just that space in between, guys get open and we gotta close those gaps.

yeah much much better, lets not forget the sacks by crowder and porter.

Yep, no points by the first team Defense in two straight games. Even though, as you pointed out, that KC is not a good team, the Dolphins have been impressive.

Still, it is preseason, and we can't get too excited, but these are VERY encouraging signs.

Improved...maybe. Younger...definitely. Dominant....ehh, they won't be dominant.

Are we that jaded by the losing the last few years that a couple good showings in pre-season want to make us think this team is better than it is? I mean, rebuilding is gonna take some time. Its very unlikely this team will be dominant in any facet of the game.

With that said, this is certainly encouraging going forward.

Merling and Langford will make us smile for the next 10+ years . . . I tell u that.

I dont know about dominant, but we did dominate today. And from what ive read, Matt roth was very very good at OLB today, is that true?

yea he looks good, but he definitely isn't a speed rusher like u would get from Moses or Anderson . . . but against the run and with overpowering RB's and TE's . . . he is clearly the best option.

Well I don't know about that. When Ronnie Brown comes back, Miami could very well have a dominant running attack with the way Ricky has been running and Ronnie and those two together.

The defense, especially the defensive line has been very surprising. They have been getting very good pressure from guys, Merling is playing really well. Langford. Starks showed up tonight. Oh and Matt Roth to OLB looks like a great decision he's played very well the last two games.

I know it's only pre season but tonight the D was dominant - 3 picks, 5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery and a shutout!

Hope it continues into the preseason, in fact our 1st team defense hasn't been scored on yet in the first 3 games!

I know its only pre-season but yeah the defense looked awesome tonight. We put pressure on the QB all night, Crowder looked great, Roth looked great, Merling and Langford looked awesome. It was all good tonight.

best pick of the year was Ferguson, holds the point of attack

ps forgot about the sacks lol awesome !!!! (missed thenm in my notes)
