What would be wrong with drafting him as the first pick? Could this be who the fins are targeting? I don't really see anyone else who is more worthy than this guy, really they are all about the same.

This is what the beat writer for the boston globe Reiss says about this years cb's...

What I can share, Alexander, is the thoughts of a few scouts who have studied the cornerbacks a lot more closely than I have. They tell me that Talib is the top corner, but teams must get comfortable with some off-field questions if they are to select him.

They like his size (6-1, 202) and athletic ability, as it's hard to find big corners these days. McKelvin would be second. Jenkins was deemed to be a bit up and down, while Rodgers-Cromartie was put into the riser category, a player who is picking up momentum because of his combine workouts.

The constant theme I hear is that this is a deep corner draft, so it's a good time to be looking to stock up in that area.

Uhhh!......NO!! ....You are kind of scaring me. It's early bro, you might need a little more sleep.

No player did more for his final 2008 draft grade at the combine than Tennessee State CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Indeed, after running a 4.33 40 and posting a 38.5-inch vertical leap in Indianapolis, ‘DRC’ may very well have edged ahead of both Leodis McKelvin of Troy and South Florida’s Mike Jenkins to be the top-rated corner this year.

For their part, though, though both McKelvin and Jenkins also ran under 4.4 seconds themselves, with McKelvin also showing explosive quickness in some of the other drills.

Meanwhile, Aqib Talib of Kansas and Arizona’s Antoine Cason weren‘t quite as fast, but both still helped themselves running in the 4.45 range. Cason also was only a tenth of a second off the best time among CBs in the short shuttle which measures quickness

Maybe one of the most insane posts i have read in awhile. No way we take him at with for several reasons: He's not even the top corner, this is a deep draft in cornerbacks, and most importantly of them all ... YOU DONT DRAFT A PLAYER WITH THE 1ST OVERALL PICK WHOLE PLAYED DIVISION II IN COLLEGE!!! Way, way, way too much risk involved in that.
