Don Banks: Tannehill will go early in the first round

I still think the best thing to do would be to get Flynn in free agency if he hits the market. Then move down if posible to get an extra 2nd. In round one take the RT we need then in the 2nd a TE and pass rusher. Take a project QB in round 3.

Ozzy rules!!

Kellen Moore puts out Brees-type vibes.. if he were available in the 3rd, I'd certainly cosign on that.

Tannehill is a developmental prospect, and therefore not worthy of a first round pick from a franchise that needs a good QB NOW.

Yes, you'd love to sit him behind Peyton Manning.  But if you're getting Peyton Manning, you're spending your top picks on players that contribute to winning NOW.

Tannehill is not going to be a Dolphin, plain and simple, unless he drops to the 4th round.

I absolutely do not understand how you can say that when the OC is the guy who coached him from being a WR into a legitimate 1st rounder who's stock is rising because he has all the tools and character and work ethic that only has to be refined. Even Manning had to be refined.

I hope Flynn goes to Washington.

I will join you.
This off season has a plethora of quality QB options. Manning, Flynn, and the opportunity to trade up for RGIII (even though I think the cost is prohibitive...It isn't my call), to end up reaching for Tanne or dropping down for him would be a mistake. I would prefer they take old man Weeden if they are Hell bent on a QB.
I would rather they avoid the issue all together and draft a play maker at 8 or another solid piece for the oline. This makes more sense.
Get the project QB in the middle rounds. Foles and Osweiler are two intriguing prospects for example.
Stick with Moore if we have too.
They aren't sticking with Moore.

Look at the 2005 Draft when the Dolphins could have had Aaron Rodgers but took Ronnie Brown instead. Everyone thought that Rodgers wasn't that good & early indications after he fell to GB @ #25 were that he was a developmental project. How did that work out for GB?

from the look of things he will be although I think thats a little high for Moore. with the draft you never know.

if someone takes him in the early first or in the first at all they are reaching big time and should all be fired

Yet everyone was obsessed with and wanted Mallett last year and said he could go top 10 and definetly first round yet was passed on by every team twice and some 3 times and the Redskins chose to go with Grossman and Beck rather than Mallett, and yet people on this board still want Mallett

and that worked out so well for the skins. Mallet is still unknown but Grossman is nothing special and Beck is basically a third string type. We took White much earlier in the draft than Mallet and im sure few would argue that White is or was a better prospect.

Missed the point, i was not comparing them, im just saying all the armchair GMs who deam a player a bust or HOFer before they are even drafted and that anyone who drafts early should be fired, by those standards the vikings gm should be fired for taking ponder who a week before the draft was projected by most "experts" as a 3rd round pick

Tannehill going in the top half of the 1st rd wouldn't surprise me one bit,and it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit if we drafted him.
