I remember watching this play as a nine year old, not really grasping what had just happened. I took the XIX loss a lot harder two years later.

Still, this is one of those classic NFL plays that will live forever. Good to see he's at least embraced it.
 
As a Dolphin fan of 25+ years that was the single most painful memory ever.
 
*ugh* if he only didn't have that cast on! He might of been able to bring him down. Damn Riggins.

I remember watching this play as a sixteen year old, but I was really grasping what had just happened. Then I remember my step-father really grasping ME, threatening to throw me out of the house if I referred to Don McNeal or anyone else in such a profane and derogatory manner in his house on a Sunday ever again.
 
*ATTENTION* this has nuthin to do with the thread....but can someone please tell me how to make a thread now.....there used to be a button at the top that said "Make Thread" or somethin and ever since they made the update its been gone, if its changed can anyone tell me how to make one please??

I could be wrong here but I think you need 50 posts before you can make your own thread.

It's OK...I still remember us beating the Redskins in the SB, in January, 1973, by a score of 14-7....we won one and they won one. They just had a better team in the rematch with Riggins and the Hogs up front.
 
the interesting part of that game was the play a few earlier. Riggins fumbled and i think it was one of the Blackwood brothers that picked it up and went down the sidelines. The play was ruled that Riggins was down but replay clearly showed he was nowhere close to being down. No replay review then. Of course a few plays later and Riggins is in the endzone and we get stuck watching that freaking replay forever.
