What's the latest on Shula? Does he still own his famous steak house? What is the latest with him? He is not mentioned to much here. There is a expressway named after the him for crying our loud...a thread on him would be a good thang. Any news on him?
 
He has been pretty active with this team. Made several appearances and remarks too the press. "Shoes" seems too be doing well.
 
this is a little irrelevant but i meant to share it after the dolphins playoff loss, when i was leaving the stadium after the game walked right past coach Shula in his range rover and he had the window down and i quickly was able to meet the great coach...he had a sigh on his face expressing the tough loss but he was very appreciative towards the fans as he left the stadium
 
What's the latest on Shula..... He still is and always will be a South Florida and NFL legend..
 
He's doing great. I met him at a motivational seminar held in my office back in September. :up::up:

He still owns many steakhouses around the country! Deeeeeelicious.

TAMPA — Dolphins coach Tony Sparano was in town during Super Bowl week to pick up an award presented by Hall of Fame coach Don Shula and see where he'd like to eventually lead the Dolphins.
"I don't like visiting this thing," said Sparano, who was awarded the NFL Alumni's Coach of Year award Friday. "It was tremendous to be a small part of this event this weekend.

Shula opened a new restaurant in Chapel Hill NC, Shulas 347, he also owns a vacation home in Boone NC. I have not been to the restaurant yet, but as soon as I can find my beret with the red star on it and my Che' t shirt I will try out the cuisine and let you know.
