Word is GB may let Donald Driver go, which for them is probably the right decision. On the other hand, I could see this being very beneficial for us. I believe Driver still probably has a year or two of decent play at WR, but the real value may come in the implementation of the new offense. Drivers knowledge of route running, terminology and reading keys from the defense could be irreplaceable for our current recieving core. In the event Flynn does'nt sign with us, he could also greatly benefit whoever may be under center. He could be a great on field assett for Philbin as we transition to some variation of the WCO. Any thoughts...

Meh. Would be an ok pick-up but he has regressed very fast. He is much slower than he used to be but hes much better than hartline. so... idk.

Maybe the Driver two years ago but not the 2012 version. I think we have some good talent at WR already. Philbin will be the perfect coach for our current WRs to reach full potential.

If Driver had a year or 2 left he would have used one of those years this past season. He's finished

I think he's done
His production has fallen off the past 2 years and if you can
only manage 400-500 yards receiving with the Green Bay offense there may be a problem

I'd let him come in and fight for a roster spot, but I'm not sure that he'll sign a contract without some guarantee of playing time. I don't think he's clearly better than Hartline or Bess so I don't see the point of just giving him a roster spot, especially since he can't play special teams.

Great player for many years, but I don't think its the right fit too bring in old players.

I can see the JETS getting him. lol

He is at the point where he could be brought in as an injury replacement for some team. I do not see him as worthy of a game 1 roster spot. GB is cutting him loose for a reason.
