Which of the two is the better receiver? Which one should we cut?

thompson, atleast hes got one catch we all can remember. and both should be cut.

Are you kidding me? Thompson is way better then Lee and Lee will likely see the doors before Thompson would.

Thompson is the better receiver, but Lee is a better blocker.

I'm not saying Thompson needs to make this team, but he offers a team something. He'll drop his share or more, but he'll also make some plays. If he does hit the market, I expect him to catch on somewhere.

Both have shown flashes of potential but we know how far that will take someone.

The reason I feel they will both be cut, or at least given dramatically smaller roles on this team is because of the emerging guys behind them. Boston is showing he's returning to speed, not to mention Gilmore is once again impressing. And Dymond is giving Lee a major run for his money.

Thompson has been a disappointment to this point but at least he doesn't fumble the ball like Lee does.

Lee is a disaster waiting to happen either a 3rd down drop or a crucial fumble at the wrong time in the ball game. Lee looks awful stiff out there while Diamond has looked more athletic and elusive(made two bears miss to get that first down).

Lee sux. Thompson has potential...inconsistant...but potential. Lee flat out sux

Derrius Thompson really should go somewhere else and play.

More evidence that fans watch the ball, not the football game. On the vast majority of plays, neither Lee or Thompson receive the football. But on those "uninvolved" plays, there is simply no comparison. Lee is a consistent blocking force while Thompson wanders, seemingly without purpose or intellect. Donald Lee may not make this team, which would be a considerable mistake. A team that cannot block should not forfeit one player who excels in that area.

very good point. And as a fan, I must admit I do watch the ball more than all of the blocking going on. However, if what you say is indeed true, then they should not pass to Lee as often as they do because Lee has a very difficult time catching the football.

You make a very good point, but Lee does have terrible hands, and this is visible to most fans. He couldn't catch a cold.
