DAVIE - If it wasn't for Danny Lansanah, the Dolphins' new practice squad linebacker, Donald Thomas would probably be working a 9-to-5 job right now.
According to Thomas, it was Lansanah who discovered him on the University of Connecticut's intramural basketball courts, and convinced this 6-foot-4, 300-pounder with a decent crossover-dribble to walk-on to the Huskies football team.
Six years later the sixth-round pick is the Dolphins' starting right guard, and hopes to serve as the missing link of what the team hopes will be a forceful offensive line.
That's why Thomas said he's forever indebted to his college teammate.
