I was just watching some Chap P highlights on nfl.com and i just noticed how good DT really is. If you watch these highlights at: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d812328f4/Pre-WK-3-Chad-Pennington-highlights notice how #66 totally dominates his man compared to the other line positons. Wow. On the touchdown play he helps on the man to the right and then gets a good chip on the guy to his left that is blitzing in. Without this i think chad would have been sacked. If he stays healthy this year, he is definitely going to the probowl. Just check him out. wow.

We shall see. I will withhold until I see him actually play a full nfl game.
 
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Thomas for your glowing account about your son. I for one will make an assessment after he plays a real game...providing he makes it through without getting injured. I have also watched many of his plays and he has trouble pulling, so there. Awesome? Let's have this conversation in November.

doom and gloom on here. Mark it down, as long as he stays healthy he will be in the probowl. I haven't seen a guard this good in a long long time (for miami) When he locks on, its over. I see alot of brown and williams running off his butt. (sounds gross) lol...:chuckle:

Not doom and gloom, rather wait and see. I don't know how you can pick one play from a preseason game and project a player's "awesomeness". Here's a comparable projection circa 1997. Did you guys see John Avery's 71 yd touchdown run against San Fran last night?! He has the home-run threat we desperately need. Finally we have a running weapon to keep the defense off Marino's back. He is awesome, he'll make the pro bowl.

Sorry, but that's true.

Want to be more of a jerk to the guy? sheesh. He got injured, so I guess thats his fault right?

Um, its not one play, its watching DT the entire preseason. Its about what EVERYONE says about him including Sparano.

I included the nfl.com link for you to watch. His man never gets past the line of scrimmage on pass blocking. Like i said, once he locks on its over. You have to admit he's good!

I'll be honest, I'm a guy that rarely watches guys on the o-line, but I can't help but notice that basically everytime I watch DT, he's throwing his guy to the ground, or pushing him back. He's one mean mofo.
 
He needs to improve his footwork and his leverage. Tackles/Ends always get lower than him but he literally picks them up while backtracking. Crazy strength that needs more coaching.

Ehh. Enduro seems to be good natured about this, all I'm saying is to wait and see before we crown his a$$.
