I know I was way out of control yesterday, but with the way things were going, I just couldn't help it. That's just the way I get when I'm overly frustrated. Sorry about that, I'm done venting....

I think the real disappointment here stems from what I was lead to believe / expecting the FO to do come 12:01 Friday morning. I expected them to be one of the first to contact C J. Brown, and I also expected Miami to give him one of the best deals being offered to him....

When I found out that the FO had taken themselves out of the race early yesterday, knowing that Brown had already turned down 6 million a year to stay in Baltimore, I couldn't believe / understand why we ducked out so soon...

I was under the impression that upgrading at C was our main priority entering FA. I guess PB / JI didn't like what they saw in terms of market cost, and would rather wait until the draft in order to plug that hole. I don't really think that's really the best solution heading into 2009, but if that's what they want to do, I can only hope they land a great one. Afterall, we'll be facing the toughest schedule in the NFL....

Try to understand, I only get angry because I care...

Maybe you assumed too much???

I don't like Iron Maiden, but that photo has me almost hypnotized. Every time I read one of your posts, I spend at least a minute looking at that photo again. Don't know what the hell it is.

Of course we understand, we're all passionate about our Dolphins. But this goes back to what I said yesterday... The main source of frustration stems from unrealistic expectations.

Its part of a bigger plan blitz....its not like our team needs a huge overhaul, that happened last year, and the better teams last year arent big spenders in FA either...plus, lets trust our draft people, and fill our roster with young studs!
And if youre still depressed, get your *** down to Costa Rica next week for the best Iron Maiden concert EVER HELD (we had 1 a few months ago, it was so amazing, they came back with a better one). People from all latin america have been camping outside the stadium for 5 days now, there is a perfume of sulfur on the air....Eddie is coming to town...

as regards to brown and the center position i do believe there are at least 6 very good prospects in this draft who would cost us a whole lot less.IMM once we resigned vernon carey FA brown was lost.

If we pick a center first round in the draft how much is that going to cost? First round pics aren't cheap.

just remember re-signing our key guys too a lot of cap out and we dont want to use it all up now.

I'm going to be seeing them here in Ft. Lauderdale on April 2nd, and I got awesome tickets. It's all general admission on the floor, there's a pit, and it's sold-out, so it should be cool as hell down there. It's also the very last date on the US tour, so who knows what they might pull out?? I can't wait!! They haven't played down here in 13 years!!...

Damn, now that's truly awesome. One of these years, I'm going to fly over to one of those huge shows. If I don't go broke first!! :chuckle:

I think last year's first day of free agency spoiled some of us. We saw us sign I think about 7 free agents and pull of a trade with Dallas for Ferguson. We have to remember that that initial burst was because they inherited a team that was greatly lacking talent and they needed to build a foundation. Last year's free agency and draft built that foundation. Now, we just continue to build and add pieces.

Teams like the Rams and Jets who struggled last year and are starting over with new coaching staffs need to build a foundation like we did last year.

It is disappointing as a fan that outside our own free agents that Wilson and Berger are the only ones to sign, but it isn't like that is all who will sign. Once the big money spending stops, then the Dolphins will really hit the market.

Can we put all these J. Brown posts to rest.It was all media speculation that Miami was intrested in him. Please give me a link to where Ireland or Parcells said they were intrested in signing him and not media rumors.
Parcells and Ireland did not tip off anyone what they were going to do in free agency.

How many people reported that Miami was going to sign G.Wilson?(nobody)

Lets say Miami did sign J.Brown, that would have been 4 of 5 starting O lineman making over 5mill+.

Championships are won with good drafting and resigning your own good core free agents.Take the Steelers and Giants for example.

is ok dude....anybody that likes Iron Maiden is cool with me.

up the irons!!

For a regime that picked up our most exciting WR last year, after the draft...now, there are still acouple days, the draft, and June cuts...our roster isnt full, theyre just not stupid-spending like the Jets or Skins....
