He just said on cold pizza that the player he would want to play with is Zach Thomas. What do you think about bringing him in i know hes getting up there but he seems to still be playing at a high level.
 
Yea I saw it too. I guess its about the $. How much he wants and how much we would pay. he has been a good LB in the passed . Just don,t knoe how much he has left in the tank.
 
Well we defitnetly need another MLB cause Keith Adams is a FA...... I hope we can get Edwards and Napolean Harris. It was rumored here we were looking at Harris as Spragans replacement. If not both we can sign Edwards and put him in the middle with Zach switching Crowder to the outside..... If both Harris and Edwards we would have one sick LB corp.
 
I wouldn't mind having him as long as it doesn't cost us too much. He's getting up there in age but he's still productive and I think he could help us out.
 
no thanks... this team needs another young starter at linebacker, not an old vet that will retire in a year or two.

Exactly. Its time to stop bringing in older players on defense.
 
Donnie Edwards is basically a poor man's Zach Thomas. His only real fit in our defense is the position Thomas plays, and it's not worth replacing him at all.
 
like i have always said zach edwards and channing would be sweet!
 
Kind of torn on this one. Edwards still seems to be putting up respectable #'s in his role, but I just see flashes of Jr.Seau again. We had such high hopes for him and he only did OK for us while he was here. I'd only consider this as a temp fix for 1/2 years until we get a decent LB in the draft. I have a feeling we will be using our higher picks on other positions for some reason. Probably will depend on what's left out there after a week or two of f/a.
 
I wouldnt mind signing him to a 2 year deal. It would give us one less need in the draft. Edwards is still very productive.

Dan Morgan might end up getting cut too.
