time to turk the Turk?


Donnie is 12 years younger :eek:

stats tonight:

7 punts, 46.3 average....with 2 inside the 20
 
He shanked his 2nd punt for only 29 yards though.
 
the kid will remain on this team believe me....the kid can punt big and high bombs...once he gets a lil more coaching and experience...he's gonna be a stud for us

Turk is still our man this year...Turk may be aging..but Turk = consistancy
 
He is punting the hell out of the ball. Just wish he didn't have to punt!!!
 
Did you not see Jones play last weekend? Almost every kick went into the endzone. He's not consistant at all.

If you saw those punts, most of them had legitimate chances of being downed inside the 5 yard line, it wasn't like he was booming them through the endzone
 
It boils down to who is holding for FGs and PATs? Even though not punting Turk is still holding. I would love to have Jones kept, but they are not giving him the chance. Kinda goes against what Saban said about Perry/Denney situation with always go with the younger version based on business.
 
Is turk consistant? the guy friggen chokes in every big game he has played in.

Turk on his first tour with us was very inconsistent but not last year. He was our offensive MVP. How said is that.
For those who have forgotten Turk was our punter before Royals.
 
Why are we not allowing Donnie Jones to hold Mare's kicks? Jones should be the one kept. We are rebuilding. Go with the younger version.
