Link? where are you getting this from?

Not Eddie Moore, Jason Glenn or Nick Rogers? I'd think we'd keep Spragan around before we'd keep any of those three. Spragan started a few games when Seau was hurt and did a decent job.

Just to prove your point......who the hell is Nick Rogers

What the heck ya got against Spragan?

He is the best depth guy we got on the roster now. We still need to find someone to replace Seau and hopefully we can do that in the draft like we did with Crowder replacing Greenwood. Only problem I really had with Spragan last year was a few holding calls he got, on 3rd down too.

He has good size and is still only 29. We would save a bit over $1 million if we cut him, but I think we need him around. Him and Pope are the only depth guys we got that I feel comfortable with on the field.

he would be a below average starter. but he is a top backup. good pass rusher who likes to get to the ball

NOO NOO im just saying we have depth at Lb and if we do sign or draft 1 looks like hes the odd man out

Like everyone else seems to be saying...What depth ?? Other then the 3 starters, we are thin at LB...I assuming that Seau is gone, but even if he isn't he won't/can't be counted on as a full time starter...we are very thin at LB depth...Spraghan stays, IMO, as the runstuffer OLB (opposite JT) when in the 3-4....he is a liability in pass coverage....what't your theory on why he'd be the odd man out ??

I think you nailed it. Spragan was nothing special but when it comes to your second string LB's your not looking for anything real special but instead someone who can come in a moments notice and help the defense not lose a step and from what I saw from Spragan this past season he did just that.

is it just me or i´m the only one who thinks that spragan had a solid season

You're not the only one. He actually got better on his reads as the season went on.

Spragan broked a record last year that nobody ever ever did....

He committed a pass Interference Penalty against Big Sam Adams.....

How can you let a 300 pounder go uncovered?
