Hickey is gonna need TWO MORE solid offseasons with minimal mistakes to fix this mess. Too many holes considering we need a DB, a safety, at least two LBs, two DTs, kicker, 2 WRs, receiving TE, 2 OGs, backup T, backup QB, and a RBIf he fixes half of these needs he's my vote for executive of the year. I just don't see it with our cap especially if we have to drop a couple of good players to manage it.
 
Every team has needs. Even those who've clinched bye weeks today. Your never going to have a complete team. That's the NFL in the salary cap era. We don't need to fill all these "holes" to compete. If Tannehill and this offense improve from the solid improvement this year, and if we can shore up the secondary and o-line with more depth we can compete. Period.

Your post is depressing but true. For this reason alone we have to invest in a new and better DC if we have a chance to get better

You just basically repeated what I said. We need a lot of help. And the only way the offense improves is if we fill those offensive holes I mentioned. But yes, depth is everything, we just don't have it

This sounds like piling on...

A safety is a DB. Just say two DB's. Hell, say 3 DB's.

A backup Tackle is not needed. We have Turner. please dear god dont let Philbin say he is a G.

Kickers are easy to find. Anyone can take golferboy's job.

Two LB's can be found in this draft. The WR spot will get drafted but only one. thats my take. unseen rookies will be seen next year. Lets hope Hickey finds four guys who Philbin will play.
 
We need to develope the guys on our roster. Guys like Turner, Aikens, Taylor, Jordan, McCain have to take the next step. We aren't going to fill all those holes in Free Agency or draft.
 
On the same day we get curb stomped by a 4 win Jets team and secure our 6th consecutive non-winning season, people on this forum are declaring our front office should not only return, but return for 2 more years.

Can't make this stuff up folks :lol:
 
This is not the same team we saw in the 1st half of the season. Much of the problems are mental and not all talent. That is why i wanted Philbin gone. His teams lose steam at the end of every season and it isnt all due to injuries. Wake, odrick, starks, grimes all look spent.
Many coverage breakdowns today (mental errors).
Yes this team has holes, but the entire team just looks lifeless over the last 4-6weeks

Ok, I'll play along. Forget DB. Let's go with CB and Safety. We know kickers are easy to find, but not good one's. I didn't say we were gonna fill all these holes in just drafts alone. I said offseasonsStill say we need two WRs, I don't care how we get them.
 
Time to take along hard look at the roster.

Over 30 and big salary cya, I'm talking to you Cam Wake and Randy Starks.

Waster draft pick? cya, I'm talking to you Dion Jordan

Not worth salary? Wheeler, Ellerbee, Misi, etc....



Only guy on the roster I consider safe is T-Hill
 
The bottom is going to fall out next year. 5-11 next year with Philbin back. The definition of insanity, doing the same **** over and over and expecting diffrent results.
