You see Cowher at head coach, and Marino back in some capacity. I'm not going to be another one of those guys with an "inside" source, but I know a former player who still talks with people from the team. Marino is furious about the state of this team. Cowher and Marino work together on CBS and there is at least some mutual interest in trying to bring Miami back. Don't outright discount me. I am telling you what a former player said, I am not making it up. That said, who knows what will happen.

Ross definitely needs to find a way to get Shula and Marino involved in the franchise again, even if only for public relations or something. This **** is just embarrassing.

I hadnt even thought of the Marino/Cowher connection... Interesting. I wonder if he might be nudging Cowher toward taking a job with Miami...

I was just going to post something like this. I dont see why Marino hasnt been brought back already. AS A QB coach... DUH. why the hell hasnt anyone thought of that yet? That would be a nasty combo... Cowher and Marino. i bet that would attract all kinds of QB talent

Because not all players make good coaches.

i know... but Marino was not your average QB. He was a legend in his time. You think he wouldnt be able to share some type of knowledge onto whoever our QB is next year, especially and hopefully Luck.

Marino has no coaching experience. What makes you think he would be a great QB Coach?

If you want to bring in a former Dolphins QB as a QB Coach or consultant, Don Strock makes a lot more sense IMO. He's been the head coach of a division I-A college football program and mentored Marino.

well in 2004 they brought him in to be the head of football operations i believe it was, and he quit 3 weeks later.

look, i obviously dont know marino personally or anyone connected to him, but just listening to him weekly on wqam, seeing how happy he is on cbs, etc, it dosent seem like hes ready to come back yet.

Hes deff not desperate for money as he made enough money from cbs,his playing days, his nutri system commercials, that anthonys pizza place hes involved with, etc.

being a coach on a football team is a very tough and time consuming job. he seems to be very content right now with where he is at, but then again, its all speculation on my part, and dont actually have facts to back it up. cowher is a possibility though.

IMO, Marino is not cut out to be a coach. He is content where he is... How many elite QBs do you see coming back to become QB coaches? I can't even think of one...

I would be up for that too. im not saying he even would come back. i didnt mean to make it seem like he would of come back if someone asked him. But i would have at least reached out to him. gave him some type of incentive

Guys like Montana, Elway, Manning, Marino don't go on to become coaches. I think they would probably go bonkers if they had to coach a guy like Chad Henne who isn't as detail oriented, as passionate, or as good as they were.

It would be hilarious watching Marino in the film room with Chad Henne. "How come you didn't fit the ball in there to Marsh... oh that's right, because you're not as good as I was. Well, nevermind."

But guys, dont worry. My son is 5 right now and im already grooming him as a QB. He is in kindergaten and stands at 47" tall and weighs 51 pounds. He is not fat. He is just a big boy. Pretty athletic already like his ol man. He throws a good spiral and im teaching him to lead with his throws right now. He will be our savior!!!
