Getting selected to host the London game should be looked at as a huge honor and we should be very happy. This is the first regular season game outside the continent, and the NFL chose Miami to be that team to represent the NFL. That is a huge honor.

I hear some people say "The NFL hates the Dolphins, look at what they did". Fact is, the NFL loves the Dolphins, win or lose. Why else do they keep putting us on Thanksgiving, and giving us a home night game on Christmas? The Dolphins are very popular throughout the world and we are the best team to kickoff this global tour.

Giving up one home game is very worth getting this historical honor. Be proud, dolfans!

The only thing i dont like about it is the nfl season is long and the traveling to the game and back might take a toll on the team more so then if we just played all our games in the states.

Bottom line is getting 2 super bowl so close to each other in Miami.......the Fins had to part with something.

This was it. They took a hit and gave up a home game and went overseas

While I would like to have been the away team for that game, you are right it is a huge honor. It will wear on the team thoguh, with the 13 hour flight (or however long it is), but hopefully the powers that be will give both teams their bye week after the London week.

Does anyone know when this game will take place?

I agree!

well, we know our bye week is week nine. That could come in handy. We just better not be traveling to the west coast that next game.

I agree completely but get ready to be flamed!

A lot of people are looking at this so narrowly it's absurd.
We're talking one game here. I don't see the huge sacrifice and I agree with you that it's a plus.

People are just freaking out because it's one less game to go to. I wonder how many getting all riled up about this even go to the games.

Every team is supposed to have to do it, why not get it over with when we know that we probably not be a SuperBowl team next year

Yea, playing a game over seas may cause us to go 6-10........

It's an honor akin to being selected for jury duty. :goof:

These are my two favorite teams (FINS being #1). I don't care if they play in Siberia, as long as they play each other I'm happier than a tornado in a trailer park.

The only WC team we play is OAK and the game is in SoFLA.

Why is everyone so down on this? First off there is a bye game after that game in London. Secondly we get two superbowls in our Stadium very close to each other and there are a lot of teams trying to get just one. Thirdly we are now selected to represent the NFL on an international level. These are all huge honors for a team that hasn't proven to be all that good and shows that the dolphins are fully supported by the NFL which is an awesome thing. I usually try to see both angles of everything so I can see where the otherside is coming from, but I cant see any logical reason from the other side on this one. Some of you act as if we have to take this long plane flight and our players will be lost and in a daze after they get off the plane like they are on Mars whereas the Giants are just going to teleport over there in an instant and it will be exactly like NYC or i guess NJ lol. Players do travel overseas on their personal time, they have lots of money remember ;) The flight will be nothing new to them. This is a huge honor home game or not, thank you NFL for selecting us

one happy fins fan
