I know that some of our fans can get a little testy after a loss but it is not right to call for anyones head just yet. We played a good game on defense, struggled a bit on offense and had great Special teams coverage. For those of you who think Sparano should have called TO before the 2 min warning, even the announcers said that if there would have been a pass on 3rd down, it would have been a wasted TO. We came out and played a very good game in the 4th quarter and almost came back to win it. I too am a bit disappointed that Ginn didn't get into to the game unitl later but once he got going, he was a hot target. I think the penaltys hurt us a lot but that will come with time IMO. We are set to have a successful season compared to the pst few years and we kept up with a team that signed a plethera of veteran free agents even though we kept it pretty thrifty. I count this as a win for us mentally because we are set for the future and the Jets will have to rebuild through the draft which will take years or bring in a string of free agents which will only bring mediocrity and hurt them in the long run.

Don't Worry! Be Happy!:)

You are right. Jake Long needs to grip the speed of the game. once he does that, then he will be okay. We are a work in progress and overall played an okay game.

Yea, i almost forgot to address Jake Long. I kinda did with the penalties in a way but you are very right that it will come.

Not upset with the team at all. They hustled and they fought. Would have liked to see Crowder and Porter blitz a bit more and cause some extra confusion. But for the first game of the season, I can't complain ... too much. :)

Hard to be called a hot target when you only catch 2 balls. Teddy is the #1 and he should be playing a lot better.

Maybe hot target was a bit much but you also have to take into consideration that as a #1, you are much more likely to get the double coverage. It's not much but it makes it harder to get open

Our team is a work in progress......they brought the house all day and we still had pretty good protection i think getting down by 13 led us to stop running the ball. But now we see that we can be a pass heavy O when we need to be. ALOT of good things came from this game unfortunately a W wasnt one of them but oh well we grew as a unit GO FINS!!!!
