The FO siad it all off season. They will bring in competition for Henne. And now they are saying there is no competition. Not me saying it, they said it. Again, I'm not a Henne hater and I'm not pissed off so please stop with that. Now is the time to compete, not when the season starts, that kind of defeats the purpose IMO. Giving Matt Moore no 1st team reps means there is no competition in my view. I understand that Henne is on a short leash, but I feel pulling Henne after he sucks is different than pushing him with competition. 2 different things IMO.

my point at the end of my post was I DONT BELIEVE that sparano and irelands jobs are in danger this year. ross gave them extensions, as i am sure he was advised to do so the team would look stable and all is well, it was all a big misunderstanding with the harbaugh fiasco, etc... and they want possible future coaches to not think they would get the same treatment.

and so far, the the things they have done in this offseason, the many of the moves they have made [or not] dont scream short timers, from the draft on through free agency.

i truelly believe that unless if the team has 6 wins or more, sparano and company are safe. and they know that. all the built in excuses are starting to be placed, like just about every time sparano is in the press, he mentions how behind they all are with the strike, etc... and when the season ends, that will be at the fore front along with an injury or two to throw in, and the old, we have a new offense, it takes time to gell, new players, etc....

Who said there is no competition? Sparano always provides honest answers without throwing his players under the bus. When asked about the Favre rumor, Sparano didn't dispel it. I truly believe that Moore got an extended look because Henne was struggling. I know I was surprised when Moore started the second half.

Some of you act like Moore is some scrub that shouldn't be taken seriously....take a look at his history and see the positives he has that Henne lacks.

Moore was on a bad Carolina team, yet when he started since his rookie season he sits at 7-4, Henne has a losing record.

Moore has a positve TD/INT ratio, Henne does not.

Moore was named rookie of the month in 2007 due to his great play, he was injured for all of 2008. started last 5 games of 2009 going 4-1, throwing 8 touchdowns versus only 1 interception. made 3 starts in 2010, suffered a concussion in the opener. Ended up only starting 3 games due to injury on a very very bad Panther team.

So I don't see why this guy shouldn't be taken seriously. Not when Chad Henne has played so poorly.

really? who? i work from my home and my tv is on 24/7 and when i am in the rig, i have nfl radio on. and i to am in arizona, phoenix area and i have not heard this yet from ONE person who "actually know football". many wanted the orton trade but they know it was for stability, name and familiarity with marshall, not that moore was a bad pickup.

so put up!! links, all these nfl knowing people, what are the names?

and how can they or you or anyone else look at moores stats, which are better than hennes [not just the stupid falcons game] and come up with that? how? sounds more like you going on what you WANT to THINK and not what has actually happened. moore has a winning starting record, henne doesnt. moore has a positive td to int ratio. henne doesnt.

so how exactly is henne so much better? how is moore a career backup? guys with winning records and positive td/int ratios dont scream career back up, but guys who dont have those [cough-cough...], henne, they usually do.

so ONCE MORE, what has this young player done so far that makes him WORSE than henne and a career backup? and leave out the falcons game. your on...........[yes, your called out!!!!] facts, not fiction, LINKS, X'S AND O'S. NUMBERS. WINS, lets see it!

WELL...... there were , and still are, for some wierd reason, many who screamed for chad PENNINGTON to get the job and he made a potato chip look like tungsten steele!!

but, that cant be ignored. cant make the club in the tub. but as for all the other nay opinions from all the moore haters, its all just bunk with NO substance or fact.
