Don’t expect re-enforcements to be coming on the offensive line

Special Teams coach-sparano:" Hes our guy, takes time."-Gone after consecutive poor games
Defensive Coord-sparano:" Hes our guy, takes time." -Gone AFTER terrible season
Offensive Coord-Sparano:"Hes our guy, takes time."- Gone AFTER terrible season

Guy is so stubborn to adapt while in season.....1 solid guard really helps this team.

It's preseason, it's a new offense, the best player wasn't even playing...

And when did Sparano or anyone else affiliated with the Dolphins ever claim to have a "flawless plan"? That's ridiculous.

Its a new offense but with a very similar blocking scheme. Recall, we didn't have our offensive playbook ready this offseason. Why? Because Sparano and Daboll were integrating his blocking scheme into the new playbook. Not to mention the fact that the right side of our line has been so inept that it goes well beyond "missing assignments" and is just the players get beat and making mistakes. Repeatedly. And im not sure how you could feel better by this being preseason. We are going against other teams vanilla defenses...and getting beat badly. What happens when Bilicheat or Ryan start firing up the real schemes?

And this "best player out", show me a post in this thread in which people are questioning Jake Long. This forum has been freaking out(for darn good reason) since the game over Marc Colombo and Vernon Carey. What does that have to do with Long and Incognito? There have been mentions of moving Incognito to the right side(ill say again, right side, the problem side) but thats the extent that they have been mentioned. Other then by people trying to defend the absolute incompetence of the line, when has Jake Long been mentioned at all?

Nothing the Miami Dolphins have done in the last 3 years has been flawless, especially our line. That was a minor exaggeration. I tend to use such exaggerations to point out the mind boggling insanity of situations like this. What Sparano has been saying is that there is no real problem and we just need more reps. Which is categorically absurd....and not at all surprising.

If I didn't know any better I would say Tony wants to take the ship down. A lame duck coach who wants to make someone pay for the embarassment that was the offseason. Now I know that will never be acknowledged, but it could be going on in a subtle manner. Sticking with this line sounds like intentional implosion. Maybe we will all be surprised. I hope so.

I was thinking the same thing last night...Tony is tanking the season...it's laughable....but you never know...

That's bull****. It isn't due to scheme/preseason. These guys are flat out losing their 1-on-1 battles...not missing assignments.

The irony here is that Sparano has been lambasted by the media in the past for mixing and matching too much and not allowing the line to 'gel'. Now that he's doing it, they're attacking him because the line is underachieving. Unfortunately, the talent on the right side just isn't that good, but Sparano is determined to prove everyone wrong.

One thing to remember with Gurode... people would be freaking out over Vernon Carey being available because he's a pro-bowl caliber RT, right? At least, he was... but now we know the truth. Injury has ruined the guy and he's a shell of his former self.

Dallas fans seem to tell me that this is the case with Gurode. He's nothing like he was, and if we expected him to be, we'd be wrong. Just food for thought. Maybe there really is no one available that's a surefire improvement.

maybe there isn't... true...but you know how this front office says they're always kicking the tires and turning over every leaf they can to improve their talent...well we should be hearing about a lot of that going on right now given our oline situation...and we're at least to our public knowledge doing nothing

There's better players out there than what we have and we are not going out and getting them. How can this be smart? It can't, it isn't. Colombo is simply awful out there, I don't like Murtha, we wiffed on Jerry. I can't understand not getting rid of these losers for Pro Bowl players. Sporano couldn't pass second grade. He's an awful Coach and Irelands' no better or smarter. We're in trouble guys.
