Last night he was used on two plays. Both of those plays were handoffs up the gut  Why put the a player with his running and throwing talents on the field for a call like that. If the coaches want to make him our second QB then use his talents. Why sit Henne on the bench as our third QB so White can hand the ball off for runs up the middle? Granted White is a rookie and learning...I get that. But if they are going to put him ahead of Henne and play him, then use him. If he makes mistakes so be it, but he isn't going to grow handing the ball off up the gut  Anyone have an idea as to the coaches thinking with White?

He's being set up in a scheme he's familar with and will then be given more responsibility slowly & steadily as the season progresses... but that just IMO

I hate watching him come on the field.. In 5 plays he has ran, the offense has yeilded 1 yard. Unless things change with white, we can consider him a 2nd round draft bust currently, and in the process, while we are keeping Henne inactive to try the Pat white crap out, Henne can be considered a 2nd round bust.. Great, 2 2nd round picks that arent producing crap

yeah man. That play completely baffles me. 2 plays, 0 yards.
not sure what they were trying or continue to try with it.

Im with the poster on this one.It seems that we dont want this guy to throw.Keep Ronnie as Qb until you trust White to make plays.Move Henne up as number 2.Let him in the wildcat and let him bomb one deep.I definately trust Henne to hand off the ball so whats the difference?

The wildcat offense is so effective with Ronnie because he can run between the tackles. if Pat White tried to run through the tackles, he'd be sent into a coma. Same thing goes for Mike Vick.

He also gives teams something else to think about. They need to prepare, at least in part, for three different O's between basic, Wild Cat, and spread.

We will see him making some plays soon.

I don't think either White or Henne at this point are busts. Neither have been given the opportunity to play. They are both young and inexperienced. It's not like they have played as much as Ryan or Flacco. Heck, even Stafford in Detroit after two weeks has taken more snaps than Henne and White combined.

We just have give them opportunities to play more and let them grow with the rest of the team which is young as well. My point about White last night is why not give him those opps. Don't bring him in and tell him to hand the ball off on runs up the middle. Put him out in space and allow him to use his feet or his strong arm. Put him in the wildcat where Ronnie normally plays and give White the opp to run that formation. Our coaches, IMO of course, are not using White in ways to help him succeed.

I believe they were both option plays, not straight run calls. On the 2nd one, he saw Freeney stay home so he handed off. If he saw him come down to play the run he had the option to fake and run the option around the left side. I agree with the last post I think they're just gonna incorporate a little more each week until he gets more comfortable

I hear you, but i am just saying at this point in time..

I cant stand watching Pat white fail when he goes in, and at the same time watching Henne inactive and holding a damn clipboard.

I agree. Bringing him in seemed to stop the momentum we had.

what the hell does Henne being #2 or #3 mean to his progression? not a damn thing. seriously. WTF yall?

He'd be doing the same thing as a #2 he is doing as a #3, sitting on the bench, suited up, ready to play if a major injury happens to Penny. Thats all.

Wrong... He cant play, he's been inactive for both our games. He is doing less than a number 2 or 3.

Yea...I also don't get it....why aren't they using him the right way? Why bring him in just to hand off? The Dolphins seem afraid to let him lose...don't run and don't throw....just hand it off. Why bother?
