Peyton's neck has healed and that's a good thing, but he's still not physically able to play. Peyton has a lot of nerve regeneration that has to happen in his throwing arm. Until that happens he won't be able to play at the level we're used to seeing. There isn't a doctor out there that can tell you when this will happen. It has to happen on it's own...if it happens at all. This nerve problem has cause his muscles to atrophy. That's a very bad thing for a strong arm passer like Peyton. That's why people question weather he will ever be able to play again or not.

We cant make the same mistake again, granted its peyton manning but we need a fresh start a new face to this franchise that can lead us year after year and make us consistant contenders

Easy to deal with. Sign him to a low base salary contract with accelerators/bonuses based on his ability to start a game. Keep Matt Moore for insurance. Next naysayer hurdle please.

I don't think low base salary and Peyton Manning ever reach the same sentence, in the real world.

he's a great player regardless of his arm strength (which will still be good if not full 100%). brees had shoulder problems and we see how great he is. plus you are supposed use your body and legs to use most of your strength in your throw. MAnning is the best QB in the league and phins should go after him no matter what!!!

ok i wont....ill go to work tommorrow, eat a nice dinner, come back here and check out the next bit of great news that peyton will soon be on the market.

Thanks for telling us how u feel Payton. Its great to hear from ur mouth how everything is going!

Year after year? Peyton will be 36 before the season starts, how many years do you think he's going to play? IF he heals he's got 3 years tops and then we're back to square one.

Only if the staff follows the retarded paths of their predecessors and fail to plan for the future. If that's the way they roll, well, we're doomed anyways.

Bring in Manning with a great backup/transitional starter in Moore backing him up and draft a QB this year or next. If he can't handle it, at least they made the attempt at greatness and covered their ***** with a young QB waiting in the wings.

Atleast we would finally get off square one!

people saying we shouldnt bring in manning because he will be done in 3 years, well think of it this way.

that will be 3 years of being Superbowl contenders assuming he stays healthy each year. even if we got 1 Superbowl out of it, it would be so ****ing worth it.

right now we gotta do whats best for the team, and if peyton manning is healthy, he is by far the best option for this team as he makes us a legit contender instantly.

absolute worst case scenario- manning signed here, got hurt, we had to go to moore for the rest of the year, and then we can do whatever it takes to get barkley next year. that is the absolute worst case scenario and their can be a lot worse situations.

all in for manning.

If Manning is healthy it is a no brainer, but it is only six weeks until Free Agency starts. I have been all about doubling down on the QB so regardless if it is Manning or Flynn, still draft Tannehill at 8/9 for added insurance.

Even if he is healthy enough to play doesn't mean the Dolphins will get him. I'm sure they'll throw plenty of money at him but Peyton might have other ideas about which team and coach he'll play for. I'm all for signing Manning but he's been tight lipped about what his preferences are.
