I know we are all looking a head for the wildcard spot to figure out tiebreakers but lets look at this way, as tough as our next 5 or 6 games are the Pats are in the same boat, if not a worse one their schedule consist of

Broncos next week- broncos should out duel Brady
bye
AT indy
Lions ( megatron should be back)
At packers
At chargers
Home vs dolphins

for those of you that don't know our schedule
Chargers
At lions
bills
at broncos
at jets
ravens
at pats

So yes this is far fetched and looking ahead but they have to travel to play the chargers and the packers which is almost impossible to win in lambo late in the season but they could easily come in to that game against us at 8-5 or 7-6. if we handle business with our next 6 games and go 4-2 that puts us in the pats game at 8-5 maybe 9-4 with that game putting us in the drivers seat for the division so while i know its down the road lets not count our phins out yet, lets just hope we handle our own and pray for pats losses

I believe that 10-6 will get us into the playoffs, either winning the division or with a wild card. The question is: are we good enough to make it to 10-6?

We have three games remaining that are must wins. Good teams (= playoff teams) take care of lesser teams. It's the Jets (1-7) twice and the Vikings (3-5). If we want to be a playoff team we absolutely HAVE TO WIN the games against bad teams and the Jets and Vikings are two awful teams. Don't care if the Jets are in our division and that division games are tougher than most. If we can't beat the awful Jets team we have no business of being in the playoffs. Let's assume we win those games, we are at 7 wins with 6 more games.

We have to at least split the remaining 6 games against:
- vs Chargers (5-3)
- at Lions (6-2)
- vs Bills (5-3)
- at Broncos (6-1)
- vs Ravens (5-3)
- at Patriots (6-2)

That's six games against teams with a .700 win percentage. Gonna be a tall task but if we can somehow win the home games out of these three, we'll be in the playoffs.

i agree i assume we handle the jets and vikes, i dont see us losing to the bills again and i believe the lions aren't as good as everyone thinks they are, its gonna be fun to watch another year where we are in the thick of things again, cant complain that much

I wouldn't count on the Broncos doing in Brady and his marry band of assholes. They are playing in Foxboro and so far the Pats have been really good at home. That being said, as much as I hate the damn Broncos, we need them to win. So I hope your are right about Manning being able to out duel Brady.

Yeah, i hope i am too, just feel like brady cant keep pace with the group of D-bags he has playing WR and RB plus von miller should eat all day against that sorry O-line

Im with you here. The patsies have shown some weaknesses early and have a tough back 9 to play. Meanwhile, we have a strong defense and good run game which carries well into the late months on the season. 10-6 isnt out of the question, but for me it really begins with a win next week.

Just goes to show how badly that last play in the Packers game hurts. This team cannot afford any more slip ups at home. They must win out at JRS and must take at least 2 on the road. The AFC has a lot of teams this year in the race. We currently sit in 10th place as far as seeding goes, so this team needs to take care of it's business and see who falls by the wayside later.

the way the pats offense has been playing of late, they can beat any of those teams.

i expect them to beat the lions at home, wouldnt be shocked if they beat the broncos next week in foxboro, i hope we can beat them in foxboro, but when the heck was the last time we beat the pats in foxboro with brady? was it like 2006 in the finale when brady did not even play most the game if i remember correctly?

wouldnt be shocked if the pats go 4-2 in that stretch.

Get real. The Pats own. They play a tough schedule, but teams look at them on their schedule and say to themselves "we have a tough schedule". The Pats are one of the better teams in the league and everyone knows it. The teams you listed, with the exception of Denver, are looking at that game on their schedule and thinking it is the toughest game they have. Pats will win more of those than they lose.

You should be concerned that the Phins are 1-3 vs. teams who currently have a winning record and their only win was opening week at home vs. the Pats who are not the same team they were in the first few weeks. Look at the Phins schedule with 6 more games against teams who currently have a winning mark. We will be fortunate to go 2-4 in those contests. If we had more games against the Raiders, Bears, and Jags, I might think you are on to something with the fact the Pats play a tough schedule. But, you are not.

The Pats schedule is tougher than ours, but our schedule is tougher to us than the Pats' schedule is to them. You see, the Pats are good. Therefore those tough games are not as tough to them. The Phins are not good. Therefore tough games for them can be really tough. 1-3 vs. winning teams will not get it done.

Nor would anyone else. The thing is, they likely do not need to go 4-2 in that stretch. They can win this division at 10-6.

The Patriots will struggle vs Denver and GB, that's it. They will beat the Lions, rout the phony Colts (probably a 50 burger) who simply play in a crap division, beat the Chargers and likely us at home. That's where my money would be anyway.

The 2014 Phins still need to score more points to be taken seriously.

The good news? The Packers were an NFC opponent. From a playoff perspective, if we were going to win against either the Packers or the Jags, our win over the Jags was more important.

difference between us and the pats is they have a qb who can win in any environment against any team, we have an unproven one.

there defense isnt really much better than ours, especially with there injuries, there wr corp is crap is nothing to write home about, brady just makes everyone look awesome

Now that is getting real. I could see a 50 burger as well. If Roethlisberger can drop a 50 burger on them, you know Brady can. Andrew Luck could match though, so you never know.

They will certainly beat the Chargers at home. They will beat the Lions as well. They will beat us too.

Pats likely win 11 or 12 and win the division going away. The song remains the same.

The fact is they own the Bills, the Jests are trash, and the Phins are just the Phins. We have had the defense to matchup with Brady and give him occasional struggles, but we never have the offense to really compete with them.

We're probably better than NE in every aspect except QB, TE and they have the best CB. The difference is they'll make it work with their crappy o-line, average skill players and jags on D while we never can seem to do that. Hey we've beaten them in 2 and a row maybe there's something there. We'll see in a few weeks.

The only thing Luck will match Brady in is the hype leading up to the game. Maybe he gets Indy in the 30's but it won't be enough, like yesterday vs Pittsburgh.
