Don't pressure Vick to leave pocket

It is critical that the Dolphins do not encourage Vick to use his legs. Miami's D-line will need to win up front to apply the bulk of the pressure for most of this game. The LBs need to be ready to take Vick down as soon as he leaves the pocket. That is when you put the pressure on him. He needs to be afraid to leave the pocket because he knows there are several players waiting to take his head off.

If the Dolphins try and constantly blitz (with LBs and DBs), Vick will own them. He will run all day. I'm not saying that the Dolphins should never blitz the LBs and DBs in the game. They just need to pick and choose their shots.

Additional Note: A good offense can be the best defense. Taking the ball out of Vick's hands is another GREAT way to beat the Falcons. Miami's offense needs to stay on the field. Go FINS!!

If we make it our primary goal to keep him in the pocket it can deffinatley be done. I can bet you Vick will see schmemes this Sunday hes never even dreamed of.

Its a shame JT is suffering from that foot injury, we could really use his speed and pursuit.

I think laying off the blitz would be a mistake. If we can where people stay in their lanes, especially up the middle it should work because Taylor plays on Vick's roll out side.

We need the defensive line to play tough, bring pressure and dominate the line of scrimmage as best they can to avoid having to bring too many blitzers. The more guys we keep in open space up the middle and in the flat area the easier it will be to contain Vick.

Even if the defensive line loses contain, the Lbs and Ss won't be commited to a blitz thereby lowering the threat of Vick breaking out big gains. He's gonna get his yards, no doubt but the key is to avoid limiting the big play. If you have blitzers leaving the permiter uncovered then Vick can easily roll out to empty space. He's good at avoiding pursuit from rushers so too many blitzes will leave too many areas unprotected forcing the defense to swim up stream.

Play strict zone, clog the middle and protect the perimiter.. We'll win.

Make him beat us throwing the ball... he's already proven that he can't do it. The numbers don't lie.

To be honest, after watching the way Holmes, Johnson and Pittman dominated us in the running game, Warrick Dunn is my biggest concern. He's an excellent runner with great vision. Screw Vick, he's not the biggest threat to this Dolphins defense, especially with the schemes he'll see from Saban.

i rather for us to make vick beat us with his arm then his legs because when he starts running around its very hard to contain him lets keep him in the pocket thats the best way to beat atlanta.All we have to do is play great defense and pound the rock a whole lot of R@R.And keep vick and dunn in check
