We have at least one good one. When you need a clutch third or fourth down conversion, why would you throw the ball to anyone but Camarillo? The guy always always catches it. Zero drops on the season. They should be going to him a lot more, even in tight coverage.

Our WR core as a whole is below average.

We have a couple of good recievers; Bess, Camarillo and Hartline.

But too many fill the same role. We need a True#1, A true Speed Receiver (that has balls and could catch constantly) and then we are set.

Think of it this way if your a DC would you really worry about Double teaming any of these receivers? Except maybe Bess at times. We need atleat 1 receiver thats scares defenses and the rest of the receivers will automatically benefit.

As much as Ginn has struggled, if you look at the games, he is still the one who is actually still being double teamed, so...:rolleyes2:

Camarillo is by far our best receiver "clutch-wise", followed by Bess and Hartline (although I think that a year from now he will be a Camarillo type with more big play ability), but Ginn is a true speed receiver, albeit, not as a starter. We merely need to replace Turner with Brandon Marshall and we are set with #1 Marshall, #2 Hartline (a year from now he should supplant Camarillo), #3 Bess in the slot, #4 Ginn Jr starting KR, and #5 Camarillo "security blanket should one of our starters go down to injury, as we have seen happens in this league".

I also feel we should keep Ginn, aside from the fact that he is a premier KR, but because should our Marshall type player go down to injury next season, at least we have a speedster that would step in and not another one of our many slow poke "non-stretch the field or demand double team" possession receivers playing out of position.

The question has never been whether we have good receivers or not at all. The question has been when will get that #1 Wide Receiver who can open up the offense and be a down field threat. Hartline, Bess, and Camarillo are good supporting receivers but are not legitimate #1's. Ted Ginn Jr. is not good despite some nice catches yesterday.

after yesterday I think we all see that Bess is our go to guy right now, he catches almost everything like Camarillo yes, but is faster then Camarillo. Hartline also has become our top TD guy which is sad with only 3 of them

The pats were doubling Bess the whole 2nd half trying to take him away....for everyone who wanted to bash Henne for "locking on to 1 reciever"....that guys head was moving and scanning the field about 90mph yesterday....but yes we do need at least 1 big play reciever. It will benefit all of them, especially Henne.

well I do have an issue with the INT he threw, it was just a bad throw and an even worst choice to throw to the WR i think it was bess. I know he will do things like that hes young. I like what i see just that was a head scratcher

Actually, on our first key 4th down play the ball went to Bess and he did not catch it. A tough play, yes, with a defender right on him. Still, it hit him on the hands. Camarillo was also well covered on the 4th down throw made to him, but he found a way to pull away from the defender and come down with the ball. Bess is a decent slot receiver, but not nearly as reliable as Camarillo. Bess also had a near-fumble, and has had fumble problems before.
