Matt Moore has been here before.

In 2009, when he replaced Jake Delhomme as the Carolina Panthers’ starting quarterback he led his team to a 4-1 record, and produced a 98.5 quarterback rating in the season’s final five games.

That’s why the Miami Dolphins are optimistic there won’t be too much of a drop off in production from Moore, who will replace Chad Henne as the starter the rest of the season.

“With Matt Moore you have a guy with a gunslinger mentality. A great athlete. Has the size and mobility, all you look for in a quarterback,” Jets coach Rex Ryan said of the quarterback his team will face on Monday Night.

“He’s won games in this league,” Ryan continued. “He’s thrown more touchdowns than interceptions. It’s not like he’s an inexperienced guy.”

Matt Moore actually has more interceptions than touchdowns (16ts/18ints)

You beat me to it.

THIS IS THE KISS OF DEATH FOR MATT MOORE!

Omar Kelly says this guy can play. Matt Moore will stink it up Monday and beyond and be replaced by Sage just because Omar likes his game.

You watch.

People that Omar praises end up flaming out and guys he rips end up shining.

I have never seen anyone get more of their assessments wrong than Omar.

The only advantage he might have is that no one respects Henne deep ball. If and this is a big if he can get the ball down field consistantly he might have a chance.

And I've never seen a fan more obsessed with a beat reporter in my life. I feel like all of your recent posts are about Omar Kelly, maybe we need an omar forum lol.

theres just to many fans that cant think for themselves, and thats how draft bozrd gurus are created and sportwriter heros/villians are judged the way they are.

look at the films of matt moore. look at what he has actually done, on an nfl field agaisnt real good competition. if a person will do that, then they dont need the gurus or omar kellys of the world to decide for them what the guy brings to the table or how his career will go. form your own opinion.

matt moore has better skills than henne. he doesnt have hennes arm strength, but he isnt chad pennington either. he is productive in the red zone [henne never has been] and can make plays from nothing. agressive guy, strong leader.

now, will sparano and company tank him? who knows. the dabol system isnt reminding folks of bill walsh. i keep thinking about the quotes from some of the pats players who basically said, "nice guy, not overly bright". and we can see that. good schemes, but doesnt know how or when to use them. thats why his O was bad in cleveland and is stinking in miami.

matt plays in new england or green bay, or philly, they go to playoffs and he goes to pro bowl.

lets see what sparano does with him. i thought it spoke VOLUMES when henne got hurt and went to the locker room and matt drove the team down and scored. no fist pump from sparano. just kind of walked away with a ok, that wa good look on his face along with a oh god, i dont want a qb controversy hi brow.

Don't overestimate Matt Moore..

should be more like it

Misunderstimate Matt Moore once - shame on us. Misunderestimate Matt Moore a second time....uhhh....Jeff Ireland won't get fooled again.

call me crazy but the more tape and the more i hear this guy talk im starting to like what i see who knows maybe he could be the guy to turn this thing around heene lost his last 7 games throwing a pick in everyone of them we never had a chance with him..

I dont know the guy really did not play that well versus San diego and people want to act like he is better than they thought
