There are like zero other options. And the other 3-4 teams are going to be after him as well.
Taking Ron Brace before the 3rd round would be a catastrophic blunder, the guy just isn't disruptive and moves laterally far too poorly to ever be more than a big lump in the middle.
I think it would be a blunder for the Dolphins to take Brace that high (although 56 would be a slight disappointment rather than a disaster) but that doesn't mean I don't think he's a 2nd rounder for teams playing the right scheme. I think Ron Brace only finds himself on the Radar as a 2nd rounder because he's 6'3" 330 and experts see a guy with those measurables and a lot of teams that need nose tackles and just put 2 and 2 together. Brace has the size you look and is strong enough at the point of attack but doesn't demand double teaming because he's mediocre off the snap, only gets up field, sheds blocks poorly and doesn't move well laterally. I actually think Brace would be better served as a nose guard in a 4-3 where he could allow a more disruptive player to flourish like Booger McFarland did next to Sapp and as Brace did at BC. In the 3-4 however I personally feel Brace just doesn't possess enough of the required attributes to be a first day pickRon Brace has graded out to be like a second round pick so why would it be a blunder to take him in the second.
