Donte Stallworth interested in Miami

Stallworth will sign with Jacksonville because him and Del Rio supposedly had a long talk about how he wants Stallworth on his team.

Stallworth and Ginn Jr as Jacksonville receivers? Ownage.

Stallworth isn't exactly a go-to WR but he's a good #2 playmaker just like Chambers. We could use a 6'4 possession receiver along the lines of Dwayne Jarrett though we probably won't draft him. I always liked size in a WR and if we get Stallworth, I'm thinking we draft a guy like Sidney Rice early in the 2nd or hope Hagan pans out.
 
i hope we sing stallworth he is just what we need and then with the 9 pick we could go o-line without woring about the wr position
 
I understand why everyone feels that Stallworth isnt a go to guy, but the fact is that defenses would not be able to double up on Chambers as easily if we signed him... both guys have great speed and if left in single coverage would burn most corners in the NFL... Chambers needs another guy to take coverage away from his half of the field, and I think Donte Stallworth would be a good fit... I'm all for him providing he doesnt demand a ton of money, and signing him would allow us to focus on more demanding needs in the draft...

Umm. Week 4, one catch. Week 5-7, no catches. Week 12, 10 yards. Week 14, 30 yards. Week 15, 5 yards. Week 17, no catches.

So, that's 8 games with a total of 7 catches for 70 yards.

How many games did he have with over 60 yards receiving? 5.

I'd say I was pretty right-on.
 
Can you imagine that? Chambers, Stallworth & Booker.....whoa! look out AFC East!

You're point is to go into next season with Booker opposite Chambers, and expect to have an explosive high scoring offense? We're not spending our 9th pick on a WR, and I doubt we spend one of our first three picks on WR after drafting Hagan. Stallworth would be a definate upgrade to play opposite Chambers and is one of the top WR who would be available this year of the names that are circulating (TO, Moss, and Bennet). I think he's a deep threat and will free up the double teams on Chambers since we would have a "threat" opposite him. I think it would be a good move as long as we don't have to unload lots of $.

Not that I'm really want the 'Fins to go out and sign Donte (they have more pressing FA needs), but to be fair 4+ of the games you mention above came after McNabb got injured and noodle-arm Garcia came in.

And to dispel the rumors that NYinBostonFin are starting, I have never heard of Donte being a "problem player" or that he "drops passes". He is a good team player with good hands great speed. The only "problem" with him is his injury history - most of his injuries he has are to his hamstrings, which can happen anytime.

I think he'll ask for (and get) more money than the 'Fins should pay. If we need another WR, get one in the draft.
 
I think he would be a good pickup, although if that were to happen then say goodbye to booker. Also, for those saying that money might be an issue with donte, if we were to sign a wideout like jarrett or ginn jr at 9, he is going to be earning alot of money as well. Might as well go younger and stick with the draft if you ask me. id like to draft jarrett out of the Wr's available minus CJ.
