Donte Stallworth interested in Miami

there is a new concept that is going on in the nfl ,and its called the draft . dewayne jarrett is more consistant and would be a better aquisition or i would much rather have randy moss. the draft is where we should address the wr corp and the oline and dline. stallworth is aood player but i think a young guy like jarrett would be better for us.:cooldude:

I second that!

Played?

Umm. Week 4, one catch. Week 5-7, no catches. Week 12, 10 yards. Week 14, 30 yards. Week 15, 5 yards. Week 17, no catches.

So, that's 8 games with a total of 7 catches for 70 yards.

How many games did he have with over 60 yards receiving? 5.

I'd say I was pretty right-on.

No, you weren't. First of all, you were talking about injuries. Secondly, he caught 70 passes in 2005.

He didn't have a great year last year, but he does have upside, and we're not talking T.O. money here.

Just so long as Stallworth understands that he's not getting T.O. money, because I'm sure his agent is going to ask for a pretty penny.

I'm sure his agent will ask for a pretty penny, but the market will drive his price. I don't think he's the type of guy that teams will be climbing over to get into a bidding war.

And Miami, the GM there was a guy who drafted me in New Orleans, Randy Mueller, and we've always had a real good relationship. But as far as actually picking a team, Philly is definitely No. 1 right now."

In addition to the Mueller tie, Stallworth's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, historically has enjoyed a close relationship with the Dolphins.

Doesn't sound to convincing, but if something can get worked out, that would be a great pick up.

Not too mention my Madden roster would be upgraded as well.:D

Donté Stallworth reiterated that he hopes to return to the Eagles but also elaborated on some possible destinations in free agency. Asked about other situations, Stallworth said: "There's New England, obviously being able to play in an organization like that, similar to the Eagles, who have definitely won a lot of games in the past."

I wouldnt mind stallworth:) Then we could use our pick on an OL or whatever else. Not that i wanted it used on WR in the first place.

Ahh, the oldest trick in the book: make up the other side's argument and then disprove it.

I've watched Donte for years. He's a bigger Ashley Lelie, with an added ability to avoid the jam (but, then again, Bea Arthur is more physical than Lelie) and smoother routes. But he drops balls--and always has--and he's the very definition of streaky. He'll be paid on potential, and perform as the player he is. There's a reason the Saints gave up on him. But just like every other fast and inconsistent WR, he'll have suiters out the door sporting the rosiest of shades, waiting for their chance to Snyder the hell out of him.

Also, keep in mind that even when he starts, he's not always healthy. He frequently played lame for the Saints with tweaked hamstrings. He's built like a sprinter, which means a bit frail. He was around 5% bodyfat in 2005, and guys like that cramp up and get injured more easily (fat surrounds and protects muscle). If you want a good example, check out some of the serious bodybuilding documentaries; when they get their BF that low, they can go catatonic in muscle shock and are very fragile.

But don't worry, you have company:

You're point is to go into next season with Booker opposite Chambers, and expect to have an explosive high scoring offense?

How does saying that Donte' Stallworth shows up 4, 5 games a year translate into my comfort with Marty Booker? Did they cancel FA and the draft this year?

Stallworth is more consistent than Chambers is, dump Chambers and sign Stallworth

lmaoo and i thought i was the only one that thought about that. What u play on?
<hardcore addict.

getting stallworth would be a huge mistake...he misses about 5 games a year and drops many passses...another reason not to want this guy is going to be his asking pricetag..he is gonna want a lot of dollars and why spend money on him when we need to address the O line and linebackers...wr's can be addressed in the drfat there r a ton of talented wr's coming out
