Willis had a great year, Carpenters was better!

It's still 10 losses, and the Era's are almost the same. Big difference, I really don't have a problem with it.
 
Carpenter's team won their division and 100 games. Willis' didn't. That's why it was so one sided!

and that proves that d tran was better cuz he got more wins on a worse team

The difference here is that the Marlins were an infinitely better team when Willis pitched (and hit). He gave them a shot of energy that they didn't have for anyone else. However, part of the Marlins organization is probably happy because a Cy Young would have hiked D-Train's price up...sign him to a long-term deal and let the awards come!

And dob, you've really gotta calm down. Try not to be so antagonistic.
 
This was a no brainer decision. Carpenter was clearly a better pitcher. Had a better year. He went from June to September without a loss. The heart of the season when the games really matter. He had to win.
 
One important thing....

Willis is left handed...Carpenter is right handed.


It is harder for a Left Handed pitcher in the Bigs. he needs to be perfect on alot of pitches.

Right Handers can make more mistakes.

that **** dont matter. its who has the better year.

you think if a pitcher was 4 foot 3 that he would win the cy young cause its harder for him to pitch in the big leagues?
