We had a defense good enough to win games for us. Our defense is good, but has no turnover potential. You don't win games with your defense unless you can get turnovers.

Also, no matter how you judge talent, Jay Fiedler was willing to do whatever it took to win football games when they were on the line. I'm not gonna recount my favorite Jay Fiedler game-winning TD or comeback stories, lets just acknowledge that numerous ones exist for me and many other Dolfans because he had cohones, spirit, and determination. Henne plays his most dreadful football when he has a chance to win the game, and there are stats to back this up.
