I read where Kansas City just brought him in and Miami did yesterday.. 14 may be too high but trade back one or 2 and get him before the Chiefs..

I want this guy badly he can flat out play football and will be a superstar. Now if we only have the balls to take him

wouldn't even touch him before the fifth round

I've actually read up a lot about this kid over the last couple of weeks, and while I obviously don't KNOW for sure, he really seems like a tough and talented kid that loves football, but he had an extremely tough upbringing and got caught up in a couple of regrettable situations.
He was a model citizen for the past season at Oklahoma, I think he "wants it" badly, and I would love to target him if we could trade down some.

Great Talent but the guys beats up women...

women as in plural?

I thought he pushed a woman down a flight of stairs. Not that I condone that type of behavior, just trying to get the whole story here.

I wasn't even aware of what he did exactly, if this is true he's a POS and I hope he stays far from Miami.

Women can drive you nuts, but to get violent with one is definitely crossing the line. Can't be tolerated.

Too bad he didn't just say really mean stuff to women. That I could tolerate.

Guy had a horrible upbringing and has overcome a lot to get to where he is at. He had a terrible life from what I understand. I could almost forgive any other mistake he could have made (i.e. DUI, theft, etc) but not hitting women. I think that you have to be a certain kind of person to hit a woman and that type of behavior can never be corrected. Kinda like sex offenders.

According to the police report, a witness at the scene said that he pushed a girl and she fell down "at least 4 steps". Beckham himself was very upset about this because the police didn't even interview him at the scene, so basically we never got his side of the story.
Obviously I'm not condoning domestic violence, but **** happens in altercations sometimes. I can't play judge and jury in a situation with this little solid evidence.

Did a little research.. here is the deal with DGB..

Drug Concerns
multiple marijuana arrests

DGB, along with two other freshmen, were arrested just outside of the football stadium by university police on charges of having 35 grams or less of marijuana in their possession. All three were suspended just one game and were to be given “other disciplinary action” by the team, privately.

Green-Beckham was able to escape the incident with a missed game and a guilty plea to a reduced charge of trespassing, paying just a fine.

The next on-record drug charge was just after his sophomore season, this time arrested in Springfield, Mo. He was booked on a charge of marijuana possession with the intent to distribute (found with a pound of marijuana), but was later released without charges being filed.

It’s clear that the two reported marijuana charges Green-Beckham has faced in college haven’t set a precedent for ramifications for his actions. In less than a three-year period, he was arrested for multiple marijuana charges, including once with a full pound, yet faced a combined one game suspension.

Domestic Violence
Broke into his girlfriends house and pushed another woman down 4 stairs... Here is a clip from the police report

He pushed a woman. didn't hit one. its not good, but its not as bad as I thought. I would be more concerned about the multiple pot charges, tbh.

Philbin would retire if Hickey/Tannebaum made this pick. Hickey wouldn't like it either. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!

I doubt Philbin is even in the long term plans of the team. The guy is milquetoast and could pretty much be replaced with an animatronic from Disney World.

This is Tannenbaum's team.

I mean he pushed her down the stairs . . . I'm pretty sure the girl would rather take a solid fist to the jaw.

A solid fist to the jaw over a push? A push could end up worse than its intent, whereas a solid fist to the jaw is pretty cut and dry.

Its irrelevant, anyways. I wouldn't risk a first or second rounder on a guy who gets caught with a pound of pot a year after he was already caught with pot. Dude seems to find trouble wherever he goes.
