i dont want be negative but i really dont think ricky can handle the load as being the the everydown back. he is old and also has problems being injury prone. i thought ricky would go down before ronnie. at his age he was better suited to split carries. he is better at coming in late and wearing teams out. i hope to god lex can hold his own and take the pressure off ricky. we are a running team and with our pathetic wide receivers we are going to have to keep running. i just hope we dont wear ricky out.

I don't think that Ricky has been allowed to fully shine that last couple of years because Ronnie has been the man. There's a reason that it's commonly thought that RW is the second best player on the team after Ronnie- he's that good. I think that now that he'll see a full load of carries he'll be one of the most productive backs in the league the second half of the year.

Ricky is probably my favorite phin. But I have to admit that I'm concerned -- let's face it, he hasn't been a feature back for awhile now and it remains to be seen whether or not his recent effectiveness is at least partly due to having Brown and the wildcat. And w/ Brown gone AND a short week to adjust the wildcat in his absence, then I think it makes sense to be at least a little bit concerned.

It'll be interesting to see how many non-Ronnie Brown wildcat packages/plays the phins have and if they'll be effective enough to take some pressure off the o-line and Ricky.

I'm wondering if Ricky can handle the pressure of being the center of attention in the Dolphins offense again like he was in 2002-2003. Let's face it, we have an unproven QB with just a few NFL starts and our receivers have had problems getting open and consistently catching the ball. That means that the sports press and everyone else will be looking to #34 to get the production we need.

I don't think Ricky ever did like the spotlight too much. Well, it's back. Ricky better step up. Time for him to get up on the bull and ride it. He probably doesn't have too many rodeos left.

Ricky is a beast! When will the doubting stop?

Ricky isn't injury prone. He got hurt once when someone stepped on him.

Never doubt Ricky.

I've done nothing but doubt Ricky since he came back after his first retirement (and even more after his suspension) and all he's ever done is prove me wrong by showing he can play football at a high enough level, and be nothing but a stand up guy. Playing hard for this team, and playing well. He quit once, but he hasn't done it since.

You know if you took the word old out, you could really reverse the names and put Ronnie where you put Ricky and vice versa. It would make a lot more sense that way.

Last time I checked it was Ronnie who has never been a guy to carry the load, even in college.

Last I checked it was Ronnie who was yet AGAIN on IR who is injury prone.

So one of the two has proven in his career he can be a workhorse back and dominate the league....Ricky. One has proven he is not injury prone other than a couple setbacks early in his career in New Orleans....Ricky. Yet for some reason, you got it mixed up.

Yall mustve forgot.

Ricky will be fine, the coach will not burn him out like Wanny did...the fins are loaded at RB. Lex Hilliard is our fourth RB and he could easily start for most teams, he just needs a chance to play and now is his opportunity. Hey, Wake and Anderson got to show what they are capable of doing last week and both were impressive, so why not Hilliard? I don't know a whole lot about Cory Sheets, but he looks like he has good size and speed...stay positive Dolfans! Time for the stretch drive!!!

Ronnie can't handle splitting the carries without still getting injured! Ricky has always proven he can handle it, he was sick of having himself abused because the coaching in the past was so pathetic. He knows he'll still be splitting carries and a smart CS that will mix it up between a run game and pass game. In the Wanny days it was 1st, 2nd and 3rd down run the ball to protect a 3 point lead against 9 in the box. That's abuse no runningback wants, that won't happen here.

Ricky will be fine if not excelling past expectations, we're fine without Ronnie thanks to the depth on this team and the quality of player Ricky is.

a lot of rickys production has come from the wildcat. i dont see the wildcat being a factor anymore.

Just last year against the Seahawks he housed a run up the middle for what, 70 yards? Ricky is a beast.
