Hey guys, I live here in Denver so all I hear about is how Champ Bailey is the best defensive player in the league, the best corner to ever play, he takes away half the field, and turns water into wine. They make no mention here of Jason Taylor and I feel that if he does not win DPOY it will be a travesty. Let's compare their stats.

JT - 62 tackles, 13.5 sacks, 9 Forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, 2 Def TD's, 11 Passes defended, and a blocked kick for icing.

Champ - 86 tackles, 1 sack, 0 forced fumbles, 10 interceptions, 1 Def TD's, 21 passes defended.

I feel that JT has done more defensively and while Champ's backers will say he changes the game and takes away half the field, JT this year has taken away the ENTIRE passing game (Brady 78 yards!? Pulled to not get smashed by JT anymore!?) In my opinion Champ just has picks and a cool name.

What do you guys think objectively and what are they saying in Miami?

Ah the Same They are saying in denver, JT SHOULD BE DPOY IN MY opinion It should have been merriman but since the 4 game suspension it has to b between BAILY AND TAYLOR AND I THINK TAYLOR WILL GET IT

There DPOY means Denver Player of the Year....lol

It is going to be tomorrow. I will be sick if Champ gets it. I will never hear the end of it here. I know it sounds trivial, but with things going bad right now for the Fins, I want JT to be recognized for playing out of this world. I would like to hang my hat on that.

Another thing, the Denver Defense crumbled at the end of the season, dropping precipitously after their early nomination as one of the best in the league. The Dolphins can truly say they are one of the league's best defenses, led by Jason's season. Champ is not even the leader of the D here, Al Wilson is. (BTW, how the hell is he starting the Pro Bowl over Zach?)
