Ok with Capers coming in as the new Defensive Coordinator (a 3-4 specialist) and all the rumors of Saban wanting to convert to a 3-4 last year, we might be looking to actually make this transition. Now here me out, I am not saying this is going to happen, it's just hypothetical. This scheme requires 2 ILB's so we would to add another one along side Zack. D'qwell Jackson from Maryland is by far the best ILB available in the draft. He's got speed, reacts to the ball, and is a sound fundamental tackler who can hit hard. He has playmaking ability. He will make an immediate impact in the league. When he was playing along side Shawn Marrion (Chargers, Def. Rookie of the Year and Pro Bowler) with the Terps they were a force to be recon with. I think Jackson would be an excellent pick at 16 if he is there.

saban would never stretch for a late second or third round talent in the first round..he is BPA guy. second, we already have a guy..Channing the Beast Crowder..third, there are so many olb which is what we really need available there is no way we would go for a ILB...the only way we get this guy is if he is there in the third round and we go WR or Secondary in the first and that is assuming Channing can play outside which i think he can

Channing Crowder played ILB in college. He has enough size to play inside, switching to the 3-4 we'll need another OLB to compliment Taylor. Arrington would be a very nice fit, but if not, a guy like Bobby Carpenter with his size and speed would be a great fit in the 3-4.
