Miami Dolphins
Ted Ginn Jr.
Wide Receiver
Ohio State

Chris Chambers has had a up and down career and Marty Booker just isn't a number one receiver. Ginn has elite speed and has the potential to develop into a Steve Smith type receiver that stretches the field and has the ability to get into the end zone on any given play.

If Ginn ever develops into a #1 WR, it's going to be atleast 2-3 years from now. The question for some here is, do we have the patience to wait that long while he develops the way Carolina did with Steve Smith?

I wouldn't mind having to wait for him to develop into a number one receiver. The problem is, I just don't think that it would ever happen.

Tank Tyler and Ted Ginn would be a horrible mock for us IMO.

If we could trade down to like 15 and get Ginn I wouldn't be as negative towards picking him, but he won't produce on offense like a top 10 pick his first couple of years.

Nothing against Tank Tyler, but almost every pick after us (besides the other DT) would fill a bigger need.

most rookie receivers take a couple years to develop. Heck, it's hard to argue that most rookies don't at least take a couple years to develop.

In my opinion, there's only one guy in the entire draft that could come in and be a superstar on day 1, and that's Calvin Johnson.

If you're not willing to be somewhat patient and develop promising young rookies, then we have no business being in the draft. We ought to just trade all our picks for guys on other teams, and we all recognize that this idea is just plain silly.

My point is, yes, we should be patient and try to develop a guy for 2-3 years, whether that's Ted Ginn Jr. or someone else

Please team who is going to play NT then? Evans?

He was a 7th round pick who did nothing last year.

hey now, I've been using that argument for awhile. I'll agree we need another DT, but I think the players they have going after Tank would be better value

I agree. Ginn, at best is a project. I would take Jarrett before Ginn.
