Let me give it a whirl, then.
1st Ronnie Brown- Fantastic, so far. He looks like a franchise quality runningback. Runs hard every time he gets the ball, and shows more moves then your usual 230+ pound back. He'll fight to move the pile better then most players I've seen. He's made some fantastic blocks, and he looks like a good reciever. By my count, he's had at least two one-handed catches.
2nd Matt Roth- Basically playing DE on running downs only. Unspectacular. He doesnt have jaw-dropping moves to get to the quarterback. Personally, I'm under the suspicion he is being groomed to bulk up and become a DE/DT in the mold of Carter/Holliday/etc.
3rd Channing Crowder- He looks like he has all the physical skill. He's fast, he'll lay wood, he can hold up at the point of attack... But he's made some bonehead decisions in basically every game. He'll overpursue and get out of position and leave cutback lanes open, and will blow coverages. I think he's got a future, but he needs to wise the hell up.
4th Travis Daniels- Looks to be solid but unspectacular at this point. He is a nickel-quality corner so far, IMO. He has done a solid job. He's been burned, but it seems like not as much or as blatantly as Howard or Madison. His big problem seems like he wont fight for the ball.
5th Anthony Alabi- Who knows? Project.
2006 5th- Manuel Wright- Didnt show me a whole lot in preseason. He made a nice tackle in the backfield in one game, but other then that, who knows? It's hard to tell. Project.
7th- Kevin Vickerson- About the same as Wright, except being injured instead of inactive. He's a project, no doubt.
