During previous years I remember being very concerned about who we pick. Hoping that we could get just the right player to fill that gap on our team. However this year I see many people hoping we get Quinn, or hoping we get Landry, or hoping we get Ginn, etc. What I have noticed, however, is that we can not go wrong this year.

If Brady Quinn falls to #9 we get a great quarterback to develop, someone Cam Cameron is very interested in. Would also lead to us bringing in Trent Green to further develop him (gives us a solid backup).

If we take Alan Branch we get a monster NT to anchor our defense for years to come.

If we take LaRon Landry we can move Jason Allen to CB, and put him at FS with Bell at SS leaving us with a very young and talented secondary.

If we take Levi Brown we have an anchor for our o-line for many years, and good LT's don't come around too often.

If we manage to get Calvin Johnson we have our freak at WR much like the Vikings and Moss.

If we get Dwayne Jarret we get a lesser, but still great, version of CJ.

If we take Jinn we have a potential freak who will open the field by a mile giving Chambers more opportunity. And we also get a great return man.

If JaMarcus Russel fell to us we'd have a great physical quarterback to develop being Daunte Culpepper.

If Joe Thomas fell we'd have a freak at LT for quite some time.

The list really does go on;

Gaines Adams
Leon Hall
Amobi Okoye
Reggie Nelson
Jamaal Anderson

I mean there is no way we could screw this draft up. No matter who we pick, we're getting something great. I am quite excited for this year's draft.

Gaines Adams or Amobi Okoye etc. We can't go wrong. I would consider trading down four or five places if we get a decent offer and pick up another 1st day pick.

Like any Draft there are Always cant miss player that miss.I think there are a few busts in there of course we wont know who they are until several years down the road.I just hope for once in a long while we hit on are first round pick.

No thanks to jaMarcus Russell or Dwayne jarrett. Why would you take jarrett at 9 when he might be there at #40?

If we get Quinn, I'll do somersaults because we'd finally get a QB drafted in the 1st round after years of suffering through garbage and wasted trades. Levi Brown is a boom or bust prospect in my opinion. If he doesn't stay consistent he could be gone soon. I don't really feel Landry is the best solution especially if you move Allen to CB where he'll be no better than a nickel back.

I appreciate your optimism, but this is just naive. There are numerous busts every year in the first round, so it is very possible that we "go wrong" and draft one of them this year.
